Luna was more willing than usual. She didn't try to run away when I took her to the store; even though I thought she would. It's out of character that she would want to stay with me. Maybe it was because I nursed her back to health? Probably. Her legs were killing her, so even if she wanted to run, she couldn't. She was playing with the elephant toy when we walked back in to the apartment. It kept squeaking at her, teasing her, non the less she kept trying to crack it. I put away the groceries before meeting her on the couch. "Are you still trying to crack that thing?" She nodded "I don't know why but it's like it's challenging me." She twisted the head again, only for it to squeak loudly in her face. She groaned. "Ugh, Damn thing." I grabbed it from her grasp and started to look around It's body maybe there was a button. I looked for a while, only to come out empty handed. I sighed and gave the toy back to her. She placed it next to her and leaned her head on my shoulder, "Are people still looking for me?" "The search has gone quiet so there's no telling." I looked over to her and noticed that her legs were twitching. "Take your jeans off." I demanded, she furrowed her brows in confusion. "Wh-?" "Nothing sexual, I just want to see how your legs are doing." She 'oh'd' before taking them off,  neatly folding them to the side of the couch. The bandages looked secure, but I knew she was hurting really bad under them. I patted her head before going to my room. "I'll be back."She didn't know it yet but I was going to get the syringe that would numb her legs. Of course that meant she couldn't walk but it would have been worth it.

I grabbed the syringe and heading back to the living room. I needed her to be at ease... I sighed and sat down next her, leaning her back on my shoulder. She cuddled up next to it as I slowly made my way to her thigh, he skin was soft but I couldn't get distracted right now. I grabbed it and squeezed it for a second before injecting the needle. She groaned in pain but it needed to be done. She tried pushing me off when I grabbed her neck, "Stop being a baby." She scratched at my hand while I went to inject the other leg. "Tanner Stop! It hurts!" I rolled my eyes "Just stay still." I squeezed her neck harder as I finally made contact with the skin. Her scream filled my ears, I had no idea if she would still be nice or not. Or if she would try to escape again. I put down the needle on the table and put her on my lap. She was catching her shaky breath, her fear overpowering her anger. I stroked her hair, trying to calm her down when she poked her leg. "You..Numbed it?" She asked in the same tone as when I kidnapped her. I nodded "mhm, doesn't it feel better now?" "I wouldn't say better but I don't feel the pain. Which is good I guess." I smiled at her, she was adorable. When she wasn't acting like a child. I grabbed the side of her face and caressed it gently. I went for a kiss when a knock rang in the room. "Police, open up." Luna's mouth widened into a smile as she readied herself to yell. I covered her mouth quickly and banged her head agonist the couch frame, knocking her out immediately. "Give me a second!" I told the cops. I took her to my room and opened a latch under a rug. The hotel had places like this just in case we needed them.

I pushed her inside and covered her back up. Once she was hidden away under the floorboards I dusted myself off and went to answer the door. "May i help you?" I asked the man, he was alone which was weird for police.. "A woman has recently gone missing in the area.. we just wanted to ask if you've seen her." He shoved a flyer in my face when I noticed that they were getting more into finding Luna. "She's one of our own so it will be helpful if you could help us by keeping an eye out." I nodded "of course. Have a nice day officer." "You too." He didn't seem to suspect me, his blue eyes darted away to the buttons, for a second I thought I was in trouble but no..he just left. I smiled as I was finally relaxed and he was finally gone. I locked the door and went back to my room to get Luna back out. I knew she was too relaxed, the thought of her running away sickened me. Doesn't She understand that I love her? I want her to stay but at last everyone has to leave.
