SIDE STORY PT. SEVEN

|LUNA|

"Nothing too serious is going to happen tonight right?" I shrugged at Laurence's question. "Maybe, but it all depends on how he acts." Layla giggled "don't tell me you're jealous Laurence." "No! I'm just...worried, like you've only known this guy for how long? A week."He kept going on, "I mean, I don't want anything bad to happen to you, Luna. You mean a lot to us." I side smiled and rubbed his arm. "You don't need to worry, I'll be fine." He put his hand on mine and leaned into my touch "you sure?" I nodded, "yea. Besides I'm detective ya know." I chuckled "oh yeaaa." He laughed. Layla parked on the side of the curb, "Cmon we're  here." We got out of the car and went to the front of the door. I unlocked it and placed the bag on the couch, another bag was placed next to it. I looked at Layla "what's this?" Her face lit up "oh nothing...just a surprise." She took out a shoe box from the bag "no..you didn't." She nodded "and no I'm not returning them." "Layla!" We laughed, I went for a hug "thank you." "Anything for you, Luna." She gave me a kiss on the forehead before pulling me into my room with the stuff. "Now time to get ready!"

After I got dressed in the bathroom I took a minute to take in what I was about to do. 'You're going on a date with a wanted murderer, but that's ok! Right? Yea yea he's nice..gentle..handsome...and maybe I can change him for the better. Yea! It's going to be great!' "Luna! Hurry up!" Laurence yelled. I took a breath before putting on the heels Layla bought me and walked out. Laurence gave me a soft impressed smile, "you look..." Layla interrupted while giving me a hug "BEAUTIFUL!" I hugged her back and told them thanks, she put her fingers through my hair and gave me a look "you did your hair..." her voice was gentle. She caressed my cheek and I put my hand on hers as I leaned into her touch. She exhaled through her nose "he's going to love it." We giggled as Laurence told Layla it was time to leave. They hugged me bye, then left.

I sighed and went to put on perfume one last time. After I put it on I went into the hallway, "woww you look..." I looked up and heard him scoff a smile I blushed and walked to him. " absolutely beautiful."
I smiled and gave him a hug, he rested his hand on my hair. I gazed up to him "you ready?" He nodded "yea let's go." I got my over the shoulder purse as I held Tanners hand to his car. We drove into the city and parked in the parking garage. "I might have a surprise for you... at 8 but since it's only 7:30, we have time to kill. Ice cream?" I nodded "what's the surprise?" "You know how you like those love books?" "Yea," "Well..I managed to get some tickets for a Romeo and Juliet play." A smile lit up my face as "really? Wait how'd you kno-." "What part of stalker do you not understand?" I did a so/so face and accepted that he-. "Do you know everything about me?" He nodded "not everything but I know a good chunk of your life." He smirked, oddly I didn't mind. That just meant he actually liked me for me and not what he thinks I'm like. "Have you talked to Travis lately?" I shook my head "I'm dreading going back to work tomorrow. But i guess I have to right?"

"Mhm, does he know about me?" "He's suspicious." Tanner opened the door to the Ice cream place. "We'll just see how this plays out then." We got in line "what are you getting?" "Mint chocolate." I smiled "what about you?" Tanner asked "probably... pecan." I smirked "cause everyone knows it's better than mint chocolate." He playfully rolled his eyes "what ever you say." I giggled as we ordered. When we went to leave the clerk yelled out "have fun on your date!" I blushed and he chuckled. We ate outside and chatted a for a few more minutes before we finished our ice creams. Then we walked to the show.

~TIME SKIP~

The play was going good. Tanner had his arm around me and I leaned into his embrace. It was the part where Romeo and Juliet died, Tanner leaned in my ear and whispered "that would never be us." I got anxious, was he saying he didn't care about me that much? I hadn't realized til that moment how on edge Tanner made me. Then he finished his sentence "we would survive." I scoffed a laugh but played it off as a sneeze when people turned around. Tanner and I silently laughed into each other's shoulders.

After the play finished we walked out of the theater, out the marble stairway and to the streetcar to return to the garage. We stood, holding onto the pole in the middle of the streetcar entry. I was getting sleepy so I rested my head on Tanners chest. He didn't seem to mind.

|TANNER|

I held my lab coat in my hand and was looking outside when I noticed a man staring. I started looking back but noticed he wasn't staring at me, but at Luna. She was a little bent over from laying her head down on me, nothing showing. However I guess this his imagination was enough. I had an annoyed face on as I took my coat from my hands and draped it over Luna to cover her more. The man looked up at me in a 'what the hell?' Glare, Luna just cuddled up to the coat. He noticed how peeved off I was and avoided eye contact with us for the rest of the ride. Once we reached our stop I held onto her hand and walked back to the car.

I held the door open for her and she climbed in. In a sleepy voice she told me "This was nice.." then steadily drifted off to sleep. She looked like an angel in all white. Her hair fell right into place each time she turned. I was so relaxed around her. The car started up, and we drove away. It was around 11:00 so understandably it was really dark, I didn't notice the 2 people standing at the door when I was carrying Luna to it. "Hello?" I said, clutching Luna close just in case. "Tanner?" They turned and I noticed it was Layla and Laurence. "Mhm, what are you guys doing?" "We wanted to check up on Luna after the date. Is she asleep?" I nodded "we went to watch a play then she fell asleep in the car." They 'ohed.' I told them to help me get the keys and put her inside. Once the door opened I went to her room and put her to bed. They watched me like cameras. As if I was going to do something thing vile to her while she slept. I simply kissed her forehead and then left. We all said goodbye and drove away.

I was cuddled up in the blanket, when I felt arms cuddle me from behind. "Tanner?" I went to turn my head but was distracted by him bringing me closer. My mouth let out a sleepy 'mm' he snickered "there you go... just like that.." he started kissing my neck but I was too tired. I thought maybe I was having a wet dream or something. He slowly turned me over to face him, and in between kisses he told me "you know Luna.. you owe me... a kiss." In my drowsyness I teased him. "Oh really?.." I giggled and he 'mhm'd' and held the side of my face rough then planted a hard kiss on me. We moaned into each other's mouth as we made out on the bed. He soon grew tired of my mouth and started sucking on my neck. I was breathing really heavily, my breath was warm.

He slowly moved down to my tank top, with out hesitation he ripped it down the middle and unclipped my bra. Exposing my breasts, he got on top of me and started moving himself up and down. Sucking on the upper part of one and held the other firmly. In between sucking he managed to slip out an 'I love you.' Then I fell back into the oblivion of sleep.

When I woke up I was alone in my bed. I felt cold on top, I checked my shirt to notice I was topless. I shot up and ran to the bathroom. I saw a bunch of hickeys on my neck and breast. Was that a dream? I grabbed my phone and called up Laurence and Layla while I put on a sweater and bra. "Hello?" Laurence said in a cheery voice. "THAT SON OF A BITCH ROOFIED ME!" "What?" His voice wasn't as cheery and more considered "TANNER. THE FUCKING ASSHOLE." "No he didn't.." Layla said, I had them on speaker while changing "He left with us after he put you to bed last night." "WELL SOMEONE DID." "We're coming over right now." Laurence said in a strict tone then hung up. I got ready for the day with sweater and joggers. I didn't feel like getting dressed. I went to the door when I heard the doorbell. It was Layla and Laurence. Laurence gave me a long hug while he checked out what happened on my neck.

"It was Tanner. I know it. He was the last person I saw before I was in bed." I told them what happened, Laurence was livid. Laya was shocked. "Where is he?!" I shrugged "I don't know. He usually just surprises me with his visits." Laurence got up from the couch and started dialing someone. I reached for his phone "drop it! I'm fine! I can deal with it!" "He assaulted you!" "Laurence Please!" I tackled him and reached for his phone, then slid it away from his reach "please let me deal with this." He sighed with a little blush on his cheeks "fine.." I got off of him and handed him his phone. Then I got a phone call.
