|LUNA|
I woke back up in the same damn room. Only this time the fake Tanner was gone. Thankfully. I bet if the real Tanner saw me under a fake him he would loose his shit. Or die laughing. Or both. I sat up and looked around. Nothing was out of place, not a hair, not a scent. But his taste still lingered in my mouth. His fingers were awkward in my mouth and kind of sweaty. I shook off the shivers running up my spine while the door honked at me again. "Good morning Ms. Youngman, have a good nights rest?" Dr. Ellie spoke. "Uh..yes. Thank you." I smiled. She closed the door and came down to sit next to me on the bed. "How was last night?" I looked at her confused, "good." "What did you think about?" "Home." "We're you comfortable?" "Yes.." "was it nice?" "Mhm." "Was the be-." "..why are you asking me the same question in different ways?" She paused and pushed her smile more to each cheek. "I'm just testing out the waters before I ask you the big question." "Which is?..."
...
"Was the simulation fitting to the actual Tanner?"
...
My eyes widened and I crawled back on the bed in horror. "What?" She crawled ontop of me, not noticing the sexual tension in the room since she was close to my face. "Was. It. Accurate?" She came closer, examining my facial movements "Cmon, I need to know." "I-I-." "Was he the spitting image?Or was he bett-?" She was freaking me out, to the point where I interrupted her and yelled "No!" There was a slight pause, I thought I had offended her by interrupting. But she just hummed a 'hm!' Before lifting my hair to see the bandage on my cheek. I was relieved she didn't yell at me but kinda weirded out on why my doctor/phycologist was touching me like this. "I'll talk to him about it then. I really wanted to see how you would react in a situation where you were forced to relive your trauma but I guess it didn't work. Pity." She caressed the bandage and sighed "I'm sorry for any trouble it put you through." She then gently grabbed my neck with her cold and medical hands. Freaking me out more.. "I really didn't mean for him to gag you like that. It wasn't an instruction." Her hand gripped harder on my neck as her other one grabbed my wrist to the front of me. "But questions is...did you like the recreation?" I choked out a no before she squeezed harder. Making me actually start to suffocate. "Oh really? You looked quite at home. You didn't even scream when he entered the room." I was about to loose sight when I pushed out my words. "Because..I-. Knew it was f-fake." She dropped her hands and I gasped for air. "What?" She asked concerned. After I coughed back to my natural breathing rate I told her the flaws of her little experiment. "I knew the second I saw his face that he wasn't Tanner." She side smiled "and why's that?" I rubbed my neck and lifted my head to tell her. "Because... He wasn't smiling." She looked intrigued and bit her lip. Talking in her normal and fast tone. "Fascinating. So even when he tortured you..he smiled?" I nodded "he didn't understand the emotion behind a smile. Therefore he used it to his advantage." She grabbed a clipboard and pen, "This is great information. Hell I might even orgasm at this interesting and fulfilling study." She wrote something down quickly and put her pen down when she finished. Getting up from my bed while she patted my head. "Thank you Luna. If it wasn't for you, this job would've bored me to death." She gave me one more tight smile before going for the door, but right before she closed it she told me with a raspy voice "You're one.. intriguing subject. Ms. Youngman." The door locked when she gave me one more look through the glass window on the door.
~Time Skip~
I was still weirded out and confused at what happened in my room when the nurses took me to the cafeteria. They were the same men from last night so I guess these 3 were assigned to me.
"Ok. When you get into the cafeteria, stay close to us. Got it?" I looked back and asked why when they told me "the people in there aren't as calm as you. And since we don't know if your actually guilty of murder than... it's most likely you won't get along with them." I got nervous all of a sudden. 'We're these people actually crazy? Like bad shit crazy? Or are the guards just trying to get me to look weird?' Once we got closer to the doors of the cafeteria I heard loud singing and mumbling coming from inside. The man next to me sighed. "Just be calm and you'll be fine." I nodded and walked in with them. Once I did the people looked at me. One of the tables looked calm and more sane while the other tables around it hooted and hollered as they banged on the metal tables. That one single table scared me the most. They looked like they had rational thinking skills, therefore they were smarter. And not impulsive. It would be hard to figure them out. I looked back at the ground and got my food. The nurses surrounded my table as that one single table stared at me. There were around 7 men and a woman. The woman waved to me as one of the men stared in awe. Like I was a new toy or something. One of the men snapped his fingers and right in that moment two inmates started to fight. The room panicked as my nurses/guards ran over to stop the commotion. I watched when out of no where the same red headed man that watched me slammed himself down onto the seat next to mine. One of his hands slammed down on the table while the other one rubbing my back in a circular motion. "Heya beauty. How are ya?" I flinched and nervously said "good." He snickered and got closer. Almost putting me under his arm and facing to the nurses. "Entertaining huh?" He turned back to me with a sinister smile. "You're lucky you know. Those three dumbos are the only nurses who care about the patients. The rest treat us like animals." I looked at him with fear in my eyes. "It would be a shame if they..took time off, right?" There was a pause before we heard a scream, followed up by another and one more. Three in total. The ginger put his hand on the side of my face, shielding my eyes from the sight while we stayed locked in each other's gaze. "Yea..it would be best if you didn't see." He got closer for that we shared the space from behind his hand. "Just keep looking at me... and ignore the sounds around you." I did as he asked and tried to focus on him. But then a loud bang happened that made me flinch. I tried to look over when he pushed my head back to face him. His hands were both now on both sides of my face. There were more screams and bangs before guards came in that took us away. Later on I found out that the ginger's name was Liam. He told me while we waited outside the cafeteria, apparently there was a fight that led to 2 inmates getting hurt. Also ending with my nurses getting laid off. I couldn't help but feel greatful for Liam. He helped me calm down. Without him I would've broke down for sure. "Alright, Ms. Youngman...it's time for bed." I nodded and waved bye to Liam. He waved back, but I couldn't shake the feeling I was being watched. Not by Liam, but by someone else. The nurse dropped me off to my room when I still felt uneasy. I sighed and pretended to not notice anything. But right as I was about to sit on my bed I felt a sting in my neck and faint fell over my eyes.
Once I awoke I was in the same interrogation room from the night Tanner had given me the file. "Tanner?!" I asked, slightly scared but partially excited. He was sitting in a corner, smoking in a chair. He coughed out the smoke before answering "finally, you take forever to wake up sometimes." "What's going on? Why am I here?" "You ask that as if you would've liked to stay in the god forbidden ward." "Maybe I do." He sighed "am I too boring for you or something?" I furrowed my brow in confusion "boring? What doe-." "Ya know a lot more people are more boring than me. They just go about their lives doing nothing, accomplishing nothing and saying nothing." He inhaled on his cigarette and blowed out the smoke a second later to continue. "They're just bystanders, watching the game but never interfering with the players. It's weird right?" I gave him a confused look. He once again sighed and blew out the smoke. "Don't even try understanding me Luna. You won't get far." A moment of silence passed through the thick and hard to navigate air. It was awkward. "Why did you bring me here?" I asked firmly. "You left me to the police. And now they think I'm a murderer." He didn't say anything so I kept talking "How did you leave with nothing left behind?! It's like you're not even real to anyone else but me! So HOW?!" He laughed "What?! What's so funny?!" I asked annoyed at his laughter. It's like I was the game and he was playing me. It made me sick. He kept laughing, then when it passed he stood up and came behind me. Placing his hands on my shoulders. "Are you even sure I'm real?..." my eyes widened, I was going to speak but then a infamous hiss filled my ears.
