I could feel Tanner was holding Something back, but what? Was it sexual? Or horrid? I didn't want to get mixed up with anything like that. It's probably a horrible idea to even be hanging out with him. My thoughts were interrupted with my phone vibrating on the table. I excused myself and answered it "hello?" "Hey Luna, it's me! Layla!" Layla was a family friend, "Oh hey Layla, how are you?" "I'm doing good. Laurence is here too! We just got honorably discharged." Laurence is her brother, "that's good to here, so are you coming back into town?" "No silly, we're already here. We tried calling Sarah but another person picked up and told us we had the wrong number. Can you give me her new number?" I got tense, they didn't know about Sarah's death? Maybe it was because they were in the military? No they would of gotten a letter right?

"Uh...you didn't hear?" "No?..what? What happened? Did she go off the grid or something?"
"No no, um.." I took a deep breath. "Sarah..passed away." "No she didn't stop playing with me." Her voice was still light. As if we were actually joking around, "I'm not, she was killed by the blue blood killer." I heard the phone drop and sobs in the background. Laurence was trying to comfort Layla. Laurence picked the phone up "Hey Luna," "Hey Laurence." "Uh..where's her grave? We want to pay our respects." "I can take you guys there. I have to put some new flowers in anyway." "Yea that sounds good.. see you in 15?" "Yea." We said our byes and hung up. I exhaled and went back into the kitchen. I bet he could hear everything since I was just around the corner. A warm smile crossed my face when I saw he was washing the dishes. "Hey uh, I gotta go get some flowers at the grocery store and pick some friends up. Do you want to come or are you going to be busy?" "My evening is empty so I'll go with you."

"Alright, and thanks for washing the dishes, it's really nice." The twitchy fingers reappeared "Cmon we have to hurry. They're waiting." He turned off the sink and followed me to the car. I drove to the market and picked up a nice bouquet of flowers. I then drove to their house, it was pretty big but not a mansion big. I texted Laurence I was outside. We waited in the car for a minute til Laurence and Layla came out. "Hey Luna, who's this?" "This is Tanner, he's a friend of mine." "Oh nice to meet you Tanner I'm Laurence and this is Layla my sister." They shook hands and greeted each other. I drove to the cemetery and parked my car in the waiting zone. Then we walked to the top of the path to Sarah's grave. I took out the old flowers and put in the new ones. Layla started crying with Laurence. But his were more quiet. "Is he in jail now?" I shook my head to Layla's question"he skipped town. I'm going to spend some nights looking for him." "We'll help." Laurence responded. "It's the least we can do. Maybe even start a patrol." I let out an exhaled laugh "Yea that would be nice," "I'll make some calls and set it up." I nodded while Tanner gave me a look of disappointment. But I know if someone hurt his family he would do the same thing. "So how are you and Anthony? Are you guys still together?" Layla asked, Anthony and I broke up months ago. He cheated on me with a more..out going girl. "We broke up a while back." "Oh? Why? You guys were so happy together. I even have a picture of you guys on that ride at Atlantic Island Park.

She pulled up a picture of us on the swing ride that would go up into the clouds. I remember that day, we all went with our loved ones. Now that I look back at it I realize how many signs of cheating were there. Hell he even left me for and hour standing in the cold. I waited for him to come back to unlock the car, what made it worse was that it was raining that night. When he came back he had a bruise on his neck, he hit himself on something. Or at least that's what he told me. "He cheated." They were shocked Laurence even got mad "for how long?" "The whole time I guess. But hey now it's over. So no need to-." "Cmon we're heading over there." Laurence was like a big brother to me. He was very overprotective, and caring, I wonder if this is how it actually feels to be so secure in life. I haven't felt this way in a long while. Sarah leaving me just added more onto that cake. "Laurence it's alright. I really don't want to see him." "He's coming tonight for our coming home party anyways so I'll just meet him there." I sighed "fine." Laurence got Tanners attention "you can come too. I bet you wanna get in on the action, right?" He hummed a chuckled laugh "Yea." We got back in the car and I dropped them off. "See you tonight guys." We waved bye as they walked away. "How come, after all this time, you didn't tell me about Anthony or better yet them?" "It didn't seem like a good conversation. In plus I didn't think I would ever need to talk about him again." "How'd you find out anyway?" I sighed "he got a text, i was going to tell him but then something told me to unlock it and then I saw the messages. Dating all the way back to the day we started dating."
