I didn't get the chance to respond. I was woken up with a heavy weight on my chest. When my eyes opened I noticed I was being pinned down. His hands in mine, my calves resting on top of his thighs, and him resting upon my chest with his head facing my neck. It looked bad. But who was watching? Judging by the looks of it, it was around 8 in the morning. "Tanner." He groaned and got more comfortable on me. "Tanner, get off." I tried getting his hands off and it worked. Only to have him wrap his arms around my waist. Arching my back. I used my now free arms to push him off. In the middle of positioning my hands he woke up and planted his chin on my chest. "Good morning." He smiled. "Get off." He sighed "You're no fun." He got off and let me sit up. When I got up, I sat on the bed. Bending over into my hands. Only to be stopped with Tanner laying back onto my lap. He turned on the TV as he put my hand in his hair. I did what he wanted and started playing with it. "Do you plan on apologizing to Eugene today?" I sighed "I don't get why I should... so.. no, I could use some time alone anyway." I push his head off my lap and went to pick up the bag. "What are you doing now?" "I gotta go into town, and ya know.. find a new place to sleep." I picked up the bag and walked into the bathroom. Changing into the new clothes I had bought the day before.

Sure the dress was a bit fancy but it was all I had to change into. Either way I liked it so why not wear it. I went outside after fixing my hair and started grabbing my belt and shoes. Before I could reach for it, I was grabbed around the waist and slammed into the couch. Being tickled. I started laughing and trying to tickle him back. Soon enough we laid next to each other just laughing and catching our breath.
I took a glance at the clock to find it was now 9:30. I sat up with a smile, "I gotta go." He pouted and grabbed my dress. I giggled. "Aw, don't tell me you're gonna get clingy." I was in a good mood so I crouched down in front of him. Asking if he wanted to hang out for the day.  He nodded and got up to get ready. While I waited on a chair. When I unlocked my phone I saw a missed call from last night. I guess Eugene wanted to talk things out. I was gonna call him back when Tanner came over. 'No harm in waiting, besides he could use the lesson.' I put my phone in my pocket and went with Tanner. I grabbed my things and let him lead me to his car.

"There's a fair in town, wanna get food first then go there?" I nodded. "Yea, that sounds like fun." He drove to a breakfast place where we ate some waffles. While we waited for the check I wondered what Eugene was doing. To the point where I went to our texts.

L: Hey...
E: . . .

Eugene was probably in a meeting so when he didn't respond I let it go. We could talk later. I sighed and put my phone to face downward. "Still waiting for Eugene to answer?" Tanner questioned with his cheek in his palm. "Yea.. I kinda feel bad about last night." "Why? He basically insulted you." I exhaled "yea.. I guess you're right. But then again, I'm not really worried about my pride." He chuckled. "It's not all about pride, it's about credibility." I tilted my head in confusion. He saw it and explained further. "If someone lies a lot, would you believe them anymore?" "No..." "Thats what I mean. Now whenever you're in danger, he won't really believe you." I bit my bottom lip, "I see what you mean, but.."  I sighed "I'm not just gonna leave him because of that. Besides I'll look like a petty bitch if I do." He tugged his lips and got disappointed with that answer. Either way we went outside to go to the fair.
