Backseats usually give me a sense of nostalgia, or home. And No Not because of that. Dirty minds. More because they're comfortable, and when you're laying down on them, while the car is driving and all you can see are the lights of the night sky. It feels comforting. So that's where I was. Laid down in the backseat, I flipped to face the front seats when I noticed two people sitting there instead of one. They were talking, so I guessed it was one of Eugenes friends. I sat up and buckled my seatbelt. Eugene looked in the back mirror. "Good morning, beautiful." I scoffed a smile and playfully rolled my eyes. He cocked an eyebrow, "what? Too early for you?" "Something like that." We laughed "who's this?" I leaned forward and put my hands on their shoulders. "That's Damon, didn't he help you escape?" I thought for a second. "Well I can't really see him, so I don't know." "Ohhhh that's right.." he looked at me from the mirror. "You were too much of a sleepyhead to notice." I rolled my eyes again. "Hardy har har. How far are we from home?" "We're not going home." I cocked an eyebrow. "Then where are we going?" "I thought we should skip town for a while, until Tanner loses you. I have to visit my mother anyway so.." he gave me a look that was kinda asking my input. "That's fine. Thanks again."
"Are you really thanking me for saving your ass?" We laughed. "Yep." A few minutes passed of music and radio talk til Eugene pulled into a gas station. "I'm gonna ask for gas, wait here?" We nodded and Eugene went inside. I smiled and unbuckled my seat belt to get a look at Damon. "So Damon, Tell em about yourself." Once I did Obed readjusting I looked up to find.. Tanner. My face dropped, "Well..-." "What the hell are you doing here?" He smiled.

"Just making sure you're ok, you were just kidnapped by Tanner after all." "Don't say it like you're not Tanner." I went to get out of the car when he stopped me with one sentence. "You don't want to do that... unless you want another body on your hands." I closed the door. "Why do you mean on my hands? You're the one who killed them." I spoke harshly. "Maybe, I was the angel, but you my dear..." he tilted his head back and gave me a cocky ass smile. "Were god." I decided to tease him. I started off laughing small when I started to crack up. "What?" His smirk dropped and he looked at me with a droopy confused face. "Nothing! Nothing at all.." I laughed a little more before whipping off the small happy tears. "Im just, flattered that you see me as god.." I kept laughing for a little more when Tanner noogeyed my head and hair. Then Eugene came back. "Ok, I'm finished. ... what's so funny honey?" I finished my laughing fit and looked back at him. "Nothing, Damon just told a joke." I went along with Tanners scheme. If he ever hurt Eugene.. I would make damn sure he would die.

~Time Skip~

We got to Eugene's mothers house around 3 in the morning. Eugene hadn't introduced me yet, maybe he was just waiting off on it? Either way we waited on the doorstep when she answered. "Jeaaaannnn?!" I furrowed my brows in confusion as Eugene went in for a hug. "Yes mom, it's me. Eugene." He greeted us both as we walked into the fancily decorated house. There was even a painting on the wall of his mom and dad in fancy clothing. I smiled at it and kept walking next to Eugene. Tanner kept close though. After a while of talking I excused myself to sleep. Now it was 5 in the morning... I groaned and walked up the stairs. Into the bedroom to sleep. Eugene had some extra clothes here so he let me borrow an oversized shirt. When I finished changing, I had a head ache. Eugene came in a little while after to find me on the couch. "What's wrong? Why aren't you asleep yet?" "I have a headache." He came over to me on the couch and let me lay my head on his shoulder. "Do you wanna go on a walk? There's a path outside." I nodded. Maybe it would help. I put on my old clothes and walked out with him. But after walking to the parking lot, we saw 'Damon' smoking a cigarette. Tanner waves to us and Eugene walked over to him. "Why are you guys still up?" "Luna had a headache, so we're gonna go on a walk." I put out a nervous smile and Eugene led me into the woods. "Can you tell me the story?" I gave him a confused look. "What story?" "On how you ended up with Tanner." I sighed. "He pretended to be the doctor and I don't know the rest." "How'd you get away?" I froze, Tanner didn't tell me how to answer that question.
