Well, here we are. Valentine's Day eve. I could tell Tanner was excited. Something about it made his smile twitch by just a little bit but I knew something was up. "Are you excited for tomorrow Tan?" I asked while getting a bagel ready to go to work. He nodded. "Of course I am my dear. I have a special day planned somewhere far far away." I gave him a look. "Ok it's only an hour away, but still! It'll be a good time for us to relax and enjoy some alone time." I hummed a laugh. "And what time are we coming back?" "Before 2, I promise, I know how you have work in the afternoon." I smiled. "Alright then." I wrapped up the bagel and started walking to the door. Kissing Tanner goodbye on my way out. "Have a nice day enigma." "I will!" I giggled at the sweet moment before getting in the car. It took only a few minutes and soon enough I was in my office again. Not sitting til I examined the basket of baked goods on my desk. I opened the note. "Ms. Youngmannnnn welcome back!!! I missed you!!! Don't leave me alone like that again!!!!" I laughed at the mad smiley face in the corner and pocketed the note. It was nice to know someone noticed my absence but at the same time I felt bad for poor August. He was left alone with the psycho twins and Travis and had no one to talk to. I decided on thanking him over lunch. "Hey August." I said while leaning on the doorframe of his office. "Hello Ms. Youngman!" He stood up and met me at the door. "Whats up?" "Oh nothing. I just wanted to say thank you for the basket and was wondering if you wanted to go to Francesca's for lunch. They have a new Mac and cheese to try." He smiled like a kid in a candy store. "That sounds good! We need to catch up anyway." I smiled. "See you at 2:25!" I patted the doorway and walked back to my office. But halfway there I kept getting weird looks. Like I was alien or something. I turned into my office to find Travis. Putting his own basket down. A little smaller but still. A welcome basket. "What the hell are you doing?" I asked in a slight whisper. "Just giving a little something to my favorite analyst. She just got back from a long break and I'm a little afraid to give her some news I just got, so I'm trying to compensate." He stood up and faced me with a pity smile. "What News?" He dropped his smile and sighed. "You know I can't tell you that right now, but I promise I will when I can say it with 100% certainty, ok?"

Just by that I could tell it was something work related. I sighed and rubbed my nose bridge. "Ok." He smiled and patted my ducked down head. "Take it easy Youngman."  "Mhmm." He left and closed the door behind him. Which left me alone in a dark room. I flicked on the light but quickly turned it back off when I noticed it was bright outside. I opened the blinds and enjoyed the sunlight hitting my skin. I don't really go out so I love feeling the sun on my skin when I can. Today it was warm and not scolding so I left them up as I worked. After a few minutes I got thirsty and went to grab a granola and water from the kitchen. On my way there I was met with Jared talking to August. He was nervous but August looked neutral. Not bothered or annoyed but also not happy to be in that conversation. One awkward laugh later and Jared left looking defeated. August looked unfazed though, maybe a one way work place romance? He turned around to see me. "Ah! Ms. Youngman!" He smiled and almost skipped over to me. "Hey, what was that about?" "Oh nothing. He was Just wondering if I wanted to go to lunch but I already have plans with you so I declined. I nodded and grabbed two waters and granola. "Want one?" "Sure!" He took the snack and we sat for a minute. "What are your plans for tomorrow?" I took a sip of water. "Nothing much but we're gonna go to a nice hotel and come back before two pm tomorrow." He smirked. I playfully rolled my eyes and nudged his shoulder. "Don't give me that look. We're probably just gonna watch movies or something." I got up but he still had that face. I smiled and started walking back to my office. A few hours later and it was time for lunch. "Mssssss. Youngmannnnn!!" August said while leaning over the doorframe. "It's time for lunchhh!" I giggled and grabbed my purse. Walking out with August to Francesca's but then he stopped. "Hey, instead of going to Francesca's, do you want to go to another place? You'll like it! They have Mac and cheese and- other things.." "yeah sure. Just lead the way." He perked up and started guiding me to the train station. The view looked familiar. A flower field with wooden huts for farmers to sell things. Then when we got to the stop I realized why it was familiar. "What's with the look Ms. Youngman?" I smiled and inhaled the air. "This is where Tanner took me for our first date. We didn't know there was a restaurant here so we just bought little snacks. It was nice." August softly smiled and looked forward.
