We had finished our showers and were getting ready for the dinner party. Tanner had picked out a tight black dress for me, I was still surprised that he knew my size. But then again he was the one buying my clothes, so he had to know my measurements. I was almost ready around 9, all I needed was for my hair to dry a little more. I waited in the bathroom for a little with a blow dryer in hand when a knock came to the door. I turned off the dryer and unlocked it. Tanner peaked his head around the doorframe. "You almost done? Or do you need some assistance?" He had a smile on, but that didn't always mean he was in a happy mood. "Assistance? What does that mean." He came in and closed the door behind him. "I mean..." he grabbed the blow dryer. "Do you want me to dry your hair for you? I know how!" His smile widened and I let him do it. I wonder why he was being so nice all of a sudden. But then again he might just snap the second Lydia comes in, or the next time the Doc gets too close. He finished drying my hair and started brushing it gently "You smell nice.." he braided my hair into a nice little hairstyle and I wondered.. "how do you know how to do hair?"

He scoffed a laugh and playfully rolled his eyes. "I just do. Now close your eyes, I have a surprise." He moved his hand to cover my eyes and close them gently. "No peeking." He teased. "I'm not." I giggled out. I then felt something wrap around my neck and it felt cold, tiny, metallic. He clipped it closed and told me it was ok to open my eyes. When I opened my eyes I found a necklace choker around my neck.

It was beautiful, and tied the outfit together. "Hold on, one more thing!" He opened the door and left out to the closet. I scoffed his name in a type of laugh. "Tanner.." I smiled with a little blush. "Sit on the counter I'll be there in a second." I exhaled and sat down he soon came in with a shoe box. "Tanner, you're spoiling me at this point." He shrugged and knelt down to strap them on. I lifted his head. "It's making me feel bad." He looked back down and fiddled with the shoes for a while when he finally opened up a little. "I just want you to stay with me." He sighed through his nose. "Not enough people do and I wanna at least keep you." He finished with the shoes and looked up. I took that as the time to hold his face "you don't need to spoil me or give me gifts to make me stay Tanner." I rubbed his face with my thumbs and continued. "In a hundred lifetimes, in a hundred worlds, in any version of reality, I'd find you, and I'd choose you." He chuckled, "The chaos of stars.. Nice choice." "You know it?" "Mhm, I read it in college.. with...-." "Tanner!!!" Leslie yelled. Tanner got annoyed pretty quickly with her so he rolled his eyes and got up. I laughed and followed him. "I love the dress you picked out for me, I mean it-." Leslie stopped when she saw what I was wearing. The Doc and Liam laughed at her experience as Tanner and I walked downstairs. "Cmon, they're gonna be here any second." Tanner sat us down and told the others the ground rules. After a few minutes we heard knocks and Tanner grabbed me to open the door with him. "Adam! So nice to see you again." Tanner shook hands with a polite tone. "Good to see you too Tanner. I hope you don't mind that I brought some of my people. I wanted you guys to meet."
