~Two Weeks Later~

It was almost Christmas! I was so happy. Of course Eugene still had work but I kept busy, making cakes and spending some time alone. I needed to think about what Tanner and I were. Some part of me wanted to be with him but the other part of me wanted to stay with Eugene. Eugene was a kind and hard working man, it wasn't fair for me to whine about something out of his control. So there I was, getting ready to go out with him and the others to a restaurant. Only this time there wouldn't be any alcohol. Eugene wanted the first Christmas we spent as a couple to be special so he chose a restaurant on a roof building that didn't serve any drinks.I was gonna wear only jeans and a shirt but then he told me to get dressed up. To which I happily obliged. Now all I had to do was wait in my light blue short dress. Luckily I didn't wait long since Eugene was right outside after two minutes. Once he saw me his face lit up. He started running towards me and lifted me up in a swoop. I laughed and hugged him. Once he put me down he told me I looked beautiful, I haven't heard that in a while so i blushed like a doll. He saw it and gently touched my cheek to give me a kiss. We split with a smile and decided we should start heading to the restaurant. Playing Christmas music all the way over. When we got there however I noticed how high the building actually was. It would be colder up there so I dug in my purse for a scarf. It was white and average size so it would work around my elbows. Once the others got there we started heading up. Tanner kept looking over to me but I couldn't really pay attention to him. I was with Eugene after all.

After the elevator dinged we got to the top and I was right. It was colder. But I managed. The restaurant was fancy and had a view over the city. I stared at the clouds in awe. "Eugene, do you think I could touch the clouds from here?" He chuckled. "Of course my love, and if you can't reach I'll just lift you up." I smiled and gave him my hand. Interlocking our fingers as the waiter sat up down at the table. We ordered and talked. Eugene with his brothers and I as usual just listened to the girls conversation. Tonight they were talking about weddings and how they were gonna plan theirs. "Mine is gonna be a southern wedding." "I hate southern wedding, but I love the idea of a cottage wedding!" "I think I'm just gonna stick with a traditional Japanese wedding. What about you Luna?" Airi asked. I shrugged. "I'll get back to you when I actually have a wedding to plan." I giggled, they laughed and kept spilling out their dreams. If I was being honest I was looking forward to a wedding day. But there was one problem. I didn't have a groom.

I sighed and continued drinking my beverage. When the food came we ate and continued talking. Nothing really special. Just some work talk and some flirting among the couples. Normal stuff. Until I feel Eugene tug on my hand. I look over and he whispered "come with me, I have something to show you." I nodded and we left the table. He led me to the garden area and started walking with me on his arm. "Did you like the food?" I nodded again. "Yea, I'm happy they had my favorite." "Lasagna isn't that hard to find ya know." "Still my favorite." I smiled. He smiled back and put his hand on top of my head. "How would you feel about going on a trip? Maybe to a lodge with a lake?" "I have work though." "No worries, I already made it up to your boss. It should be fine. Besides the others want to go too." "Are you sure?" "Mhm." We got to the top of the garden where a little showcase looked over the city. "Alright. Let's do it." He hugged around my waist and let me enjoy the view. "It's nice tonight huh?" "Yea.. it is.." I hesitated but soon my hand was in the air.

I was so close to touching it when Eugene ducked down and put me to sit on his shoulder. Then I finally reach up and.. still couldn't reach it. I laughed it off and Eugene put me back down. I was gonna go back to looking at the moon when he put a hand on the side of my face. "Luna..." I turned to face him when he put both of his hands on my cheeks. "You are the most beautiful girl in the world and even though we disagree at times I want you to know that.." he let go of my face and got down on one knee. I was frozen in shock, "I will take care of you when you're sick, I will watch over you when you cry and I just want to know will you be mine?" Without knowing it a smile crept on my face and he opened the ring box. My smile quivered and I nodded. "Yes.." he got up "really?!" I nodded again "yes!" He picked me up and whirled me around while I heard clapping. Without knowing it I just got purposed to in front of the whole restaurant. My eyes immediately went searching for Tanner when he pulled me close for a kiss. Slipping on the ring and putting our foreheads together to share a moment. Then going back to the table when it was finished.
