|TANNER: ONE YEAR AGO|

The city was dark. Darker than most nights back at home. 'Oh Luna.. what did you get yourself into now?'

I joked with myself as I started parking my car next to a club. Adam wanted the men to have a night out, so he invited us to the club an hour away from home. He also scheduled a meeting with everyone a week from now so.. depending on how tonight's goes... I might stay the week at a hotel. But anyway, Tonight was awful. Rainy, dark sky- come to think of it, if tonight was just like any other, I would be cuddled up in my autumn scented perfume blanket, on my couch. But there I was, in front of a magenta neon sign that lit up 'Eden Club!' I cracked my usual smile and fixed my tie. Then with a comb through my hair, I walked in. Being greeted by the usual club music and sweat. In my mind I silently judge the people that come to these things, but in reality I held onto my usual smile. Climbing up the stairs to the balcony Adam reserved for us. I knocked on the door, only to get a snickering hooded man on the other end. He opened a hatch on the top and tried to ask for the password when a tall, well dressed man came over. "Thats enough Breather, let the poor man in." Lucas said with a heavy accent. The Breather scoffed in annoyance as he unlocked the heavy door to let me in. There on I was met with the usual club decorations and some girls to go along with them. Most of them were trying to drool over Adam but he was in a serious mood tonight. Brushing the girls off before lighting a welcoming smile to pat a seat next to him. "Tanner! Great to see you again bud!" I nodded and took a seat. A girl came up to me and offered to light a cigarette for me. I put the bud to my lips and let her flick the lighter open. Exhaling the smoke after a few seconds.

"How have you been my friend?" He asked, while I diverted my attention away from the girl. I think he was a little tipsy, otherwise he wouldn't have been so friendly with me. "Good, how about you?" "Great! Ya know, The Nior is really hitting it off right now and I think I'm gonna go on the market to find a new car!" "That's amazing." We chuckled a little before he went on with the conversation. "So How's your little girlfriend doin? Lydia would love to see her again, if that's alright." Adam sipped his drink with a smile. "Oh, of course, but I'm afraid Luna is.. not in my care anymore." Adam stopped his drinking as I sounded serious. "Oh? And why's that?" He twirled his hand to signal the girls out of the room. I cleared my throat and sat up straight. "Well, she-.." "Escaped with the Doctor!" I was astonished, but I didn't really show it as I just nodded and watched him cheer on his guessing skills. "WOO! That's how you do it!" He clapped and sat back down to talk to me face to face. He exhaled then a laugh and with a sip of his drink, his smile lit back up. "I'm gonna feel so bad for you in a minute." "Hm?" Next thing I know I hear heels stomp toward me. I turn my head but only to find the female devil walking towards me. No, not walking, marching. She grabbed me by my ear and I let out a small groan of discomfort. "Hey!" "Oh shut up you big baby!" Adam chuckled to himself while he watched me get taken away to the deepest pits of hell. Or better known as Lydia's club room. Filled to the brim with strippers and men getting lap dances. I never liked watching this kind of stuff but for a second I thought I saw a curly haired brunette dancing in emerald skimpy dress. But when I saw her eyes I realized it was just my imagination. I sadly sighed before a yank of the ear brought me back to reality. Where Lydia was throwing me into a private room. "Where is she?" She asked as my body slammed to the couch.

I comforted my back. "Ow-! Ya know you could be a little more gentle!" She rolled her eyes before taking out a stack of bills. "Tell me Tanner." I scoffed. "You really think money has a toll on me? And Even if I did know Lydia, I wouldn't tell you." "why not?" "Because I know what you do to people." She cracked a laugh. "And you're any better?-You Eat People!" I smacked my lips and rolled my eyes. "Yeah yeah, but at least I don't have a private dungeon with literal sex slaves. Come to think of it.. Is that the reason you wan-." "To hell with what I want! I just wanna know how the helllll you lost her! I mean how hard is it to hold onto a girl that isn't even that tall or heavy?! She was a perfect victim to keep! She never even tried to escape before so please! Tell me how you lost her!" ... I sighed and opened a bottle of booze. Dropping my smile for the first time that evening. Pouring two glasses before I spoke. "She got tired of me Lydia... it's as plain and simple as that.. and when I realized that I... just snapped.. she was actually trying to escape earlier that day too, and as punishment I made her run. Sooner or later her leg got stuck in a bear trap. So I picked her up and disinfected it. I would've taken her  a shower too if I didn't have to chop wood. But for some reason Liam had a problem with that...." "So.. you killed him?.." I nodded. "And Leslie too.. she wanted me to hook up with her but I wasn't thinking clearly. So instead of saying no I decided on eating her too.. and I guess Doc thought I would go for Luna next... but little does she know, I would've killed her instead. I even charged up to her room with a knife but when I opened the door she was gone... I had a hunch she would've taken her favorite patient with her so I ran to our room only to find I was right."  I took a sip of my drink. "And now.. i trying to track her down again." I chuckled. "I did it once, I can do it again right?" I turned to look at her as I saw her eyes had a sad tint to them. "You doing ok Tanner?.." she asked in a playful manner before sipping her drink. "I mean.. yea? I'm here aren't I?" "What do you mean by that?" "I mean I'm at a club right? Besides I feel like I'm getting close Ya know?" She hummed a yes before taking out a weird looking key. "Anyways.. I need a favor." She slammed it down on the table. "What's that?" "That is a a key..." I scoffed a smile. "What do I need a key for?" "To open that box." She pointed behind me to show me a small wooden box. "And? What's inside?" "Oh nothing.. just a picture of an envelope, nothing special.." my smile grew, she was playing me. "Or. Maybe an address... but it's no biggy right?"
