|LYDIA|

When I got to her house I could tell she was the only one home. I knocked and after a few seconds, a shorter, curly brown haired woman opened the door. I softly smile. "Lydia?" "Hello my dear." She looked up to me with tears soaking into her skin. I lifted an eyebrow in worry as she jumped into my arms. Crying profusely as I tried to comfort her. "What happened? Di-did he hit you?! That son of a-!" "No! Lydia!.."  she backed up and wiped her tears away. "I'm-.." she felt her stomach and as I finally got it, she started crying again. "I- I don't wanna do this again Lydia-! I can't go through it another time-!" I crouched down. "Hey! Hey! You're gonna be fine-!" "It's not me I'm worried about!" It took a second but then I finally understood why she was crying. "Oh.. honey.." "The doctor said I can't have kids without help.. and if we tried they would.." she choked on her tears while I decided it was time to go inside. All the emotion made me forget we were on the front porch so I quickly turned her around and led her to the couch. Locking the door behind me. She sat down and whined herself into a curled up ball on the couch. "Do you have any blankets song bird?" She nodded. "Bedroom on the left." I walked down the hall and into the bedroom. Where I was surprised to find Tanner's things.. I grabbed the loose blanket and let my curiosity get the better of me. Walking into the room across the hall and finding Luna's things. 'That's weird.. last time I checked Luna's religious, but not this religious.. I mean haven't they already have sex?' I closed the door and went back to Luna. Putting the blanket over her and going into the fridge. 'What kind of house doesn't have ice cream in it?' I asked myself when I found a dessert free freezer. I closed it back up and returned to my sad burrito on the couch. "Hey.." I shook her. She leaned her ear over. "I'm going to get you some snacks. What ice cream do you like?" ".. chocolate." I softly smiled before realizing I shouldn't leave her here by herself. The man I was with was pretty mad I left mid way and I would hate for anything to happen while I'm gone. "Is there.. any other people who could keep you company while I'm gone?" She sniffled. "Layla.." I could feel my jealousy get the better of me but I knew I would win the competition, if there was any. Hands down, I'm better than whoever she just said. I grabbed her phone and asked for the passcode. Of course it was a birthday of some sort, but I didn't ask who. Cause I was a little curious on who Layla was now. I called and waited for her voice to greet me. It was probably gonna be an old, cracking voice, maybe a smokers old voi- "Luna! Are you finally ready to tell me what's wrong?" I was taken aback. 'Why does she sound so.. non-revolting?!' I was ready to release my jealousy when I looked down at Luna. Still curled up and still waiting for help. I rolled my eyes and cleared my throat. "Uh- sorry, this isn't Luna, but can you come down to her house for a bit? I think she needs support right now and I need to go out to get somethings but I don't want to leave her alone." "Oh! .. uh, sure. -is everything ok? Why didn't she call me?" I glanced at her again. Lost in thought, the poor thing. "..she'll tell you that when you get here. But for now, just focus on getting down here." I hung up. Moving to the couch for a bit as I waited for her to come here.

Luna rested her head on my lap as I played with her hair. "I would sing you something.. but I'm afraid I don't have much of a singing voice doll face." She wiped her nose. "That's fine.. can you tell me a story?.." I softly chuckled. "Sure. Anything but singing for you, hun." I looked around to find the books on the TV table. How about.. "The outsiders? Heh, I haven't read this since I was in middle school.." I flipped to the book mark. "That's Tanner's spot. He didn't read it when he was younger so I bought it for him." I slowly nodded and flipped to the first page. "Speaking of Tanner.. where is that needle holding bastard anyway?" She sighed and sat up. "Please don't make a big fuss about this..." a second later and Luna had let me in on the story of the horrid bite mark on her shoulder. It looked bad. Really bad. Like the "patch up" done to it was just decoration and done in a rush.. she needed new and better stitches. Especially now that's she's pregnant. ".. it was an accident. I promise. It really did help in the long run - it opened up-." I glared at her. "You know what's wrong with this. Don't you?" I asked. Her puffy eyes filled with tears once again and I found myself with her head close to my chest. Comforting and rocking her back and forth to reassure It'll all end up ok. "He's the only one Lydia! The only fucking one that never did anything to hurt me! I trusted him so much but I boiled him over and and-." She yelled a painful cry into my chest. It sounded like it had been held in for a while. So I gathered her up and let her straddle my lap. It felt nice.
