I woke up in my bed, it was Monday and my neck ached a bit after the 2 syringe stabs from last night. I touched it lightly and massaged the area. It was like a bad bruise. While I was trying to make it feel better i couldn't help but feel bad that i couldn't say thank you to Tanner. I mean he did give me the file. I sat up and remembered the file! I looked around and saw it was on my night stand. I grabbed it and flipped through the papers. It was him... his cold eyes stared at me as I read the documents. Everything was good. I could finally put this to rest. I sighed, and got up to go to work. I put on a black shirt, blue jeans, and a bomber jacket. It was navy blue with the state police logo on the side. I got on my heeled boots and went for the door.

When I reached the station I went to my office and started filing a report to hand in to my boss. When I finished I got up and went to his office. He was busy but when i came in he focused on me. "Luna, what a pleasant surprise. What may I help you with?" I fidgeted with the file and paperwork. "Uh, I have the information on the Blue blood Killer.. sir." He looked surprised and walked over. He grabbed my back and led me to the chair. I sat down as he sat on the desk, reading the files. By his facial expression he was ecstatic. He got up and gave me a hug. He was being touchy today. I was going to pull away but he snuck his hand in my hair. I patted his back but it was too late we ended up kissing . I weirdly felt nothing kissing him, he was close to Sarah, to the point where we felt the same pain when she died. But I just felt like I was kissing a wall. Sure it felt nice physically but emotionally it was dark. When we pulled away he was smiling at me so I smiled back. We didn't notice that Jared and Nicole were standing in the door way. "Wowwwww, never thought that would happen.." they slow clapped for us. He chuckled and held me close, I felt uncomfortable. I wanted to be friends not...lovers. "We were just wondering if you guys wanted to go out tonight for a few drinks?" I was tired and wanted to go home to sleep on my comfortable bed..for once I could sleep in peace.

I tried explaining myself but they begged me to go. I rolled my eyes playfully "fine, I'll go." Jared cheered out "I'll bring Caleb! He has been dying to meet you!" I let go of Travis and went with Jared and Nicole out of his office. I smiled and waved me goodbye. When I reached my office I exhaled, I had a headache. I should be happy. But I wasn't. "I'm glad I got the murderer but.." I sighed and went back to working.

The next time I looked up to my clock I noticed it was 9:00 and time to go home. But then Nicole turned the corner and swooped me up to go to the club. I left with my bomber jacket on. It was cold outside but when we got to the club it was a little warmer. Wait her way I kept my jacket on. Everyone went to dance as I went to go sit down at the bar. I ordered water, I didn't feel like drinking tonight. I felt a hand on my back so I turned to find Travis asking me to a dance. I shook my head "I'm sorry I have a headache. Maybe later?" He smiled, nodded and sat next to me. We talked for a while before a girl asked him to a dance. He gave me a look and I smiled and teased him about it. "Go ahead Casanova, she's waiting." I giggled and he gave me a disappointed look. As if he wanted me to get jealous. I turned back to the bar, a little sad that he gave me that look, to the point where I ordered an actual drink. The lights turned brighter with every song they played. They were neon. But when the song Animals played the lights turned red.

I sipped the drink before going in for a swig. I ordered another, I was in the middle of it when I felt a hand on my chair and another hand pushing the drink down. "Slow down.." my eyes widened as I saw Tanner. He sat in Travis' chair next to me. "What the fuck?" I reached out to his face to make sure he was real. Maybe it was just my imagination. I felt his cheek before he put his hand on mine. He was real.
"May I ask why you're touching my face?" He chuckled I pulled my hand away "I was just making sure I wasn't drunk." "You get drunk off of one drink?" I playfully rolled my eyes "no I was just making sure." He ordered a drink too as I thought about how to say this.. "hey um.." he looked at me with his usual smile "thank you for giving me the file.. you didn't give me the chance to say this but..." I got up and gave him a hug. He was taken a back but soon hugged me back "I really appreciate it."
