Lies Pt. Two

After a few minutes, Luna fell asleep in my grasp. She was breathing really heavily. Like a small animal that had just been hurt. Sure Eugene could've walked in but that would've added more to my excitement. Luna would've been mortified but at least Eugene would've gotten the hint. But as the minutes flew by I realized he wouldn't come home. At least not tonight. I had also realized that Luna left nail marks on my hand and scratch marks in my back. Perfect. I smiled as she scooted closer to me. She was warm and my cologne was all over her, I wonder how Eugene would feel knowing she still loved me. And how he would lie awake at night knowing that she screamed my name again. Taking the lord She so desperately worships name in vain at my pleasure. The thought of it made me smile and I reached down to gently caress her cheek. She stayed asleep and smiled softly to me.

Having reoccurring insomnia is a pain. Especially after having sex. But I couldn't sleep. So there I was at 7 AM, looking out the window. Tanner had left some time in the night, maybe some part of him knew that I needed some time to figure things out. I sighed and grabbed my phone that was next to me on the dresser.

E: I am so sorry, i fell asleep at work while working on some business plans. I'll be home around 7, do you want to get breakfast?

'Oh.. that's why you left.'

The message was sent around 5, which meant that Tanner saw it and decided to leave. But I guess he wanted to stay because now I had a shirt on. Tanner's shirt. I sat up and rubbed my eyes. It was around 7:15 so I had to hurry up. When I got off the bed I started rushing but my legs felt sore. "Fuck." I leaned on the dresser for a second before getting back to task at hand. Thankfully Tanner cleaned up before he left so all I had to do was get dressed and walk normal. When I finished getting dressed I held the shirt in-front of me. I didn't have Tanner's number so what do I do with it? I didn't get to decided since Eugene called me not even a second later. "Hello?" "Lunnnnaaa! I'm outside." I smiled, "I'll be out in a minute." When he hung up I put the shirt in my drawer. Then I got on my shoes and walked out to the car.

Eugene was standing outside while leaning on the car. "Good morning sunshine!" He greeted me while coming over to give me a hug. "Morning honey." I gave him a hug. I didn't want to fight, neither did I have the room to. I did just sleep with Tanner so the least I could do was not complain about him not coming home last night. "Where do you wanna eat?" "Mmm, any pancake place should do." He smiled and opened the door for me to get in. "After you."

~Time Skip~

Breakfast was fun. Since I didn't hold a grudge, he told me all about his work drama and how this one guy got dumped for spilling a coffee on his girlfriend by accident. "I guess she was having a bad day cause she just exploded on him." He laughed. "Oh, you should've seen the look on his face. He was so dumbfounded." "I bet." We chuckled before calling for the check. Afterwards leaving to the mall. He wanted to see the new stores and I wanted to see the new deals. We usually stick together in stores but today we split for that we could look without being rushed. So there I was looking through a random store. I didn't find anything, but when I turned to leave a wave of anxiety hit me. Straight out of the blue. There in the window, a mannequin was wearing lingerie. But not just any. The same ones I wore the night Tanner tricked me into playing a sick game of find the gas jars. The same game that made me brake my arm.. and the same game that reminded me of Ethan's untimely death. My heart beat faster and faster when I remembered I was still in public. I looked around to make sure no one noticed before I calmed down.

The wave went as soon as it came when I left the store, empty handed and hungry. Luckily the store was near the escalator for the food court. So when I got down I got a quick bite and called Eugene. But I didn't get an answer. Weird. Either way I spent the rest of my time shopping. Or should I say just walking around. Because if I was being honest I was just waiting out the time. Sooner or later though, Eugene turned up and drove us home. He got a new watch and a new suite, for work. It was now around 5, we took a quick shower and got dressed in causal clothing. Then we called the others and together we decided on going out to a Chinese restaurant. I thought it was gonna be fun when I got slapped in the face with a realization. Tanner would be there.
