4. ENGLISH

Cassandra has been living with her boyfriend Varian for 4 years, but they have been together for 7 years.  He is 25 and she is 33 and it would seem that no one in the city where they live, that is Corona, they have ever judged them even if 7 years ago they feared their judgment.

It's 4 in the morning and Cassandra woke up suddenly to go vomit.
Varian, hearing her, woke up to check how she was.

"I'm fine love, go back to sleep. I must have had food poisoning" Cassandra lies.  She's been throwing up for 2 weeks now, but Varian was always at work.

"No, I'll stay here until you feel better."

And after about half an hour they both go back to sleep, but Cassandra with a thought in her head.

Am I pregnant?

The next morning Cassandra heads to the royal castle to talk about what happened the night before with her best friend Rapunzel.

"Hey Raps" greets her friend as soon as she arrives in the royal room.
"Fitzherbert" nods to Eugene, Rapunzel's boyfriend.

"CasSANdra" greets him back.

"Hey hi Cass, I wasn't expecting you! Why here?"  asks the brunette.

"Well, now I leave you. Bye sunshine" Eugene greets his girlfriend giving her a light kiss on the lips.  "Bye Cass".

"So Raps, you have to help me"

"Tell me everything" at these words Cassandra begins to tell her everything, her doubts and worries.

"Raps, I think I'm pregnant" Rapunzel is about to speak, but Cassandra continues "I've been vomiting for 2 weeks now, I'm nauseous and.. Ah, why does it have to be so complicated?"

"Hey, Cass, don't worry. You and Varian have been living together for 4 years now and you are both quite old .. it is normal that it can happen" the brunette tries to calm Cassandra, but with poor results.

"Then he's 25, I don't think he would like a child now.. and then he works and.." Cassandra starts crying.

"Cassandra tries to calm down. I know Varian very well, you'll see, she will want this son with you. But now we have to do something, a very important thing."

"What?"  asks the black-haired girl.

"The pregnancy test"

After going all over the kingdom to look for a pregnancy test, they return to the castle, where they see Varian and Eugene talking, so that the two friends immediately sneak up to Cassandra's former bedroom, with bathroom, left there as it was 4 years ago.

"Ok, have you read how to do it?"  the princess asks Cassandra.

"Yes. I'm going to do it."

Entering the bathroom Cass has an absurd anxiety, but with all the courage she has in her body she takes the test, only to find out 2 minutes later that she is pregnant.

"Raps, I'm pregnant," Cassandra says to her friend.

"That's fab-" her friend is about to reply when they hear a familiar voice say "What?"

That voice is from Varian, who overheard his girlfriend saying she was pregnant.  As the most trusted Royal engineer the kingdom has, Varian works in the castle.

"You are pregnant and you didn't tell me"

"Var, it's not what you think. I... I just found out and-"

She tries to say Cassandra, but is interrupted by Varian who approaches her and takes her in his arms making her spin in the air.

"I'll be dad, I'll be dad!"  exclaims the young boy and immediately afterwards press a kiss on the lips of Cassandra, who however is confused.

"But you seemed angry.."

"Me? How could I be angry if the person I love most in this world, that is you, is giving me another person to love, our son?"  then continues "I'm the happiest person in this world Cassie, thank you very much."

"I love you Varian"

"I love you too, Cass"

And they share a kiss of love.
