10. ENGLISH

Varian just woke up in the bed he shares with Cassandra. It is the first time they have slept together and Varian does nothing but observe her in all the beauty of her.

He starts playing with a lock of her lover's hair and whispers "How beautiful you are Cassie."

After several minutes Cassandra also wakes up.

"Hey good morning," Cass says as she yawns  with thick voice.

"Last night was beautiful" the woman whispers near the young man's lips.

"Did you really like it?"  Varian asks shyly.  For him to talk about these things is quite embarrassing being very shy.

"Oh yeah." Cassandra takes a quick kiss on Varian's lips.

They start cuddling each other until Varian exclaims "Hey, today is a day of hearts. Would you like to participate?"

"But then everything we've built by keeping our relationship secret will crumble," Cass says worriedly.

"Okay, if you don't want to do anything. I wanted to film Herz Der Sonne's diary with you," says Varian.

"Varian I.. I'm sorry, but I don't feel ready to go public with our relationship," the young woman says sincerely.

"Don't worry, I understand you. You don't want to be seen with someone like me. A stupid alchemist," Varian says bitterly.

"What? No, Varian, what are you saying? I love you and I'm not ashamed of you."

"Yes, I am smaller than you. You're right, better keep our relationship secret," says Varian.

"O-ok .." Cassandra says.

With a sheet around her body, Cassandra takes her bra and panties and then picks up her clothes.  The night before they were so close that they completely gave a damn.

"Why are you covering up? I already saw everything last night and you are magnificent" both turn red with embarrassment and Cassandra whispers a light "Thank you".

So she goes to the bathroom and dresses in the clothes from the night before.

When the black-haired girl is about to say goodbye to Varian - still naked in bed - to go to her house, suddenly rings the bell.

"Oh shit" they both say in unison.

"Varian, it's me, Eugene. Will you let me in?"  says the friend of the young alchemist through the entrance door.

"Cassandra, if you don't want them to find out, go to the bathroom. Now."  Varian exclaims to his girlfriend who does as he is told.

"Varian. Are you there?"  Eugene asks impatiently.

"Yes, one second I'll dress decently and I open the door"

After several minutes the alchemist takes his friend into his small apartment.  Varian no longer lives with his dad Quirin, even for obvious reasons.

"Finally man. Listen can I go to the bathroom? I'm bursting"

Shit, Varian thinks and tries to come up with a plausible excuse.

"Eh, the bathroom is… it's broken. I have to fix it as soon as possible" says the young boy.

"Okay, don't worry. I'll go in the same. Cassandra?"  Eugene says amazed when he see the girl.

"Emh .. hey Fitzherbert!"  greets Cassandra embarrassed.

"Eugene don't come in-. Oh, too late," Varian says when his girlfriend and his friend meet.

"Well, cover blown, now he'll tell everyone" Cassandra says exasperated and then continues "Let me pass Fitzherbert!"  she turns it off with one hand.

"Are you two.. together?"

After explaining their secret relationship to Eugene in detail, he has a reaction that no one expected.  In fact, he is happy for his friends and does not judge them in any way, as Varian and Cassandra had feared.

"So are you coming today to film Herz Der Sonne's diary?"  Eugene asks.

"Cassandra and I don't-" Varian starts to say but Cassandra, giving Varian a kiss, not caring about Eugene, says "Yes, we'll sign it" and smiles at her young boyfriend.

In the afternoon Varian and Cassandra, hand in hand in the streets of Corona, show up together for the first time, as boyfriends and not just friends.

Everyone at Corona, including Princess Rapunzel, is amazed, but compliments them because they are such a beautiful couple.

So, after waiting their turn, they finally sign the lovers' diary.
