Cassandra + Varian = <3

This is what Varian wrote for a week now in his notebooks where, actually, he should have written scientific formulas. He couldn't get Cassandra out of his head, it was as if everything he did or he saw always bring back to her. How did he fall in love with a girl in just 8.2 seconds?

Even Cassandra couldn't get a certain alchemist out of her head. She thought of him and, for no reason, she smiled. She would have liked to see him so much, but what convincing excuse could she have said to Rapunzel to let her go? Or, perhaps, was the truth better?

Varian, doing accurate research and being almost all hours on the books, realized that his hypothesis was true: the man, like the woman, could fall in love with just one glance. The young man would have liked so much to tell her what he felt for her, but they hadn't seen each other for a week.

Cassandra, in the end, decided to hide the truth from her best friend and go to the Old Corona to look for the alchemist. On the way, Cassandra felt like an idiot: she was 8 years older than him, she was of age and he was a minor. What did he think he was doing? Although the boy was 17, she was still 25 years old. She decided, however, to continue the journey.

The boy, hidden in his laboratory, began writing sentences that he could have told Cassandra to ask her out. He wrote and canceled: it was as if no sentence was going well. For this reason, after trying everything, he decided to be himself and create something, maybe a necklace, and then ask her to go out being simply him. Varian went to work and after a few hours, he created a purple precious stone and called it "Cassandrium".

Meanwhile, the girl came to an Old Corona. He arrived at the young alchemist's house and knocked on the door. To open it was Quirin, the father of Varian. Obviously the man asked her what she was doing at her house, but she replied with a simple

«I need to talk to Varian»

The young man's father let her in, told her to wait in the living room and that Varian would come in a moment. Cassandra nodded and waited impatiently. She felt as if her legs trembled at the thought of seeing him and, a few seconds later, she would see him. Varian, as soon as he saw Cassandra, immobilized himself and managed to barely say a "hello" stammering.

Quirin, seeing his son like that, decided to leave the two guys alone. The boy's dad thought he was doing so only for his presence, but he was wrong. He didn't know what his son was feeling for that mysterious girl.

When Varian and Cassandra were finally left alone, they both said a slight "hello" in unison.

«So, uhm, why are you here? Not that I didn't want to see you or that I wasn't waiting for you, however, emh.. yes.. why are you here?»

Cassandra, hearing these words, began to laugh: it was just funny. «Well, I wanted to see you..» the girl replied without problems.

«To me? And why?» Varian replied blushing a little.

«But you know..» Cassandra approached him «..I missed you and..» The girl continued «..I wanted to see you, easy!»

«Yes, actually.. I also wanted to see you» said the young man and then continued «I-I have one thing for you» Cassandra was surprised as soon as she saw that new element. It was purple, a color that she didn't love very much, but with the stone she changed her mind. Cassandra moved her gaze from Varian to that stone all the time. The boy revealed that she was called by her name: "Cassandrium"

«Do you like it?» Varian is embarrassed. «But What kind of question is this? Of course I love it!» Cassandra exclaimed and immediately went to hug the boy.
«Can you put it on me?» Cassandra asked the young man who looked at her in a trance «Why are you looking at me like this?»

Varian's cheeks turned red «Well.. because you are taller than me and-» he was stopped by Cassandra who said «So what? I lower myself, don't worry. Plus, it's not my fault if you're a kid» Cassandra lowered herself up to Varian's turn to have the necklace put on.

«Hey, I'm not a kid» Varian said offended.

«Oh, are you really saying it?» Cassandra and Varian laughed «To be precise in 2 months, 7 days, 13 hours, 21 minutes and 43 seconds I will be 18 years old» specified the boy.

«So..» the young woman approached Varian's face «..doesn't bother you if..» she took his face and on his lips, a millimeter away, whispered «I will kiss you?»

Varian, with his heart beating very fast and in turmoil, with his legs trembling, said a slight «Do it».

Varian didn't repeated it twice and Cassandra kissed him. It was a simple kiss, no tongue, but their mouths moved in unison. It was the first kiss of Varian and the second of Cassandra, but both felt emotions never felt before. They knew each other recently, but apparently there was a lot of chemistry between them. And maybe, further on, love will always be born if he is not already born..
