12. ENGLISH

Cassandra has just returned to her room at the castle exhausted from the day she had. Not just for the exhausting day full of training, but when she visited Varian, her boyfriend for 2 years now, she saw him kissing Faith, a maid of the castle.

The girl has lain down on the bed thinking about all the good times she had with her boyfriend and she starts crying loudly after holding back the tears until now.

"I was deluded to trust him, Owl. Maybe he cheated on me a thousand times and I have no way of knowing. Why, when I finally find happiness, is there always something or someone that ruins the moment? I would like to stop existing "the girl talks to her pet, or Owl, her trusty owl.

"Why did I trust a little boy? Of course she wants one of her ages and not someone like me" the tears continue to fall to the young woman who does not stop crying for a second.

Suddenly she hears a knock on the door, so that she wipes her tears and goes to open it.

At the door she sees Varian, more angry than ever, but sad at the same time.

"Why Cassandra? Eh? Why? What have I done wrong to deserve your betrayal?" Varian says as he passes Cassandra and enters her room.

"What? But what betrayal are you talking about? At most you are the one who betrayed me, with Faith" Cassandra replies with a hard tone.

"Yes, I did, but only because she told me you kissed Andrew last night." Varian also speaks with a harsh tone in his voice.

"Me? But when ever? How do you listen to words not spoken by me? And you know that I would never be able to betray" Cassandra screams these words.

"Because you're a liar," Varian yells too.

Cassandra's heart, hearing these words, breaks in half. So that she starts crying.

"Out. From. My. Room. Now! And it's over between us" Cassandra screams in a panic attack.

"Cassie, I..." she tries to talk to Varian, but the girl cuts him off.

"Now, I said".

And so Varian, with a weight in his heart, comes out of Cassandra's room hearing her cry.

"How stupid I was Ruddiger. She is right, she is so pure that she would not be able to betray, especially the people she loves." Varin says to his raccoon friend.

"Tomorrow I'll apologize and I hope she want to be with me again," and so Varian falls asleep with this thought.

The next day Cassandra is training, like every morning. Varian is still shaken by his gesture from the night before.

How did I betray Cassandra, the woman I love most in the world, with any girl? the boy thinks as he joins Cassandra in the castle courtyard.

"Hey Cassie" greets the boy frightened by Cassandra's reaction.

"Ah, it's you. What do you want?" the girl says, stopping from her workout and turning to Varian.

"I'd like to apologize, for everything I've done. From betrayal, to last night's words. I'm sorry Cassie, you know I love you and-" the boy begins the speech, but Cassandra stops him.

"One who loves does not betray, but I forgive you. I still love you, I can't stop loving you, but if you don't trust me, we can't be a couple. Now I don't feel like getting back together with you, but maybe, in the future.. "Cassandra says letting Varian speak.

"Okay, thanks Cassie. Just know that I love you and that I'm sorry" and said these words, the young alchemist leaves, leaving his beloved, maybe, forever.
