I fell asleep in the car as corpse drove.

I wake up as he opens my car door, letting the cold air in. I whine as he leans down to pick me up. He picks me up like I don't weigh anything. My head leans against his shoulder as my tired eyes look at the my surroundings. After a bit I realize I'm seeing trees all around. I stretch my neck to look over corpse's shoulder. 'Why aren't we home?' I ask. 'It's four in the morning, it's dangerous for my to drive when this tired.' He says. I look up at his face, seeing very dark circles under his eyes. I lean against him again.

'So just the one upstairs?' Corpse asks as he stands inside with me still in his arms. 'Yeah. I put her clothes there too.' Eve answers. He carries me up the stairs, setting me down on the counter in the bathroom. He walks out, leaving me yawning. He comes back with the bag he packed us before everything happened. 'Take off your clothes.' He says. Normally I would have been madly blushing about those words, but I tiredly take off my still wet sweater, and T-shirt. Leaving me in my bra as I take off my socks and pants. 'Looks at me.' He says as he steps closer with a wet washing cloth. He starts to clean me up. Then cleans the grazes and small cuts 'change your underwear too. I'll be in the bedroom.' He says as he walks out. I change my underwear. I finally realize what just happened. My face heats up as I tiredly go through the bag of clothes. Instead of my own shirt, I take out corpse's sweater and slip it on over my sore body. With just that I walk to the guest bedroom I always stay in.

Corpse looks up when I step in, and blushes when he sees me. I lay down on the bed without saying a things and close my eyes. 'Hey, at least get under the duvet.' He says as he shakes me a little. I whine again, not wanting to move. 'Hey, I mean it. You'll get cold like this. I roll over, not realizing I'm so close to the edge. I roll over and soon realize I'm rolling off when I see the floor. I prepare to hit the floor as a hand grabs my hip to stop my. His big and warm hand pulls me to him, getting me under the sheets. He rolls me over, being able to move me however he wants seeing him I'm too tired to go against him. My head lays in his shoulder as he holds me close. It's warm, and it feels save.

I wake up alone.

Soft rain pattern on the window as I roll onto my back.

After a bit I sit up, feeling how sore my body is. I stretch and get up, looking in the bag for some of my own clothes. I take off corpse's sweater and slip on some jeans as footsteps enter the bedroom. 'Knock.' I say. 'But if I do I don't get to see you like this.' His all to familiar voice says. I turn around, covering my chest. He looks as tired as he did yesterday. He reaches for my arm, softly tracing the bruises. Then he looks at my neck and his eyes sadden. I put on my shirt before taking his face in my hands. I stroke his cheeks with my thumbs. He lets out a soft sigh as he closes his eyes. 'Did you not sleep well last night?' I ask. 'No.' He answers quietly. 'You look exhausted.' I say. His eyes open and he looks at me. 'I am. All I could do the past days was worry where you were. What they did to you. If you were alive and if I could ever see you again.' He says. I let his face go and wrap my arms around his neck, pulling his warm body close to mine.

'But I'm here now. You should get some rest.' I say. He hugs me back and kisses the base of my neck, making me feel loved. 'I'm so sorry I let them get to you.' He says. 'Bub.' I pull back and smile softly 'you have nothing to be sorry of. I'm here. And right here, in your arms, is beter then any other place I could imagine.' I say. He kisses the top of my head. 'Then please never leave.' He says. I shake my head before kissing him. He places his hand on my cheek as he pulls my body a little more into his. After a bit I pat his chest three times, needing air. He pulls away, questioning. 'Air.' I say as I breath in. He chuckles as wraps his arms around my shoulders.

'I really do want to go home now.' I mumble into his chest. 'Then let's get our things and go.' He says.

We make our way downstairs. Tyler sits on the couch, rubbing his eyes. He does his grabby hand at me as he rubs his eye With the other. I giggle as him as I go over to him and pick him up. He hugs my neck and lays his head on my shoulder. 'Don't go to sleep again, bugger.' I say. He chuckles. I set him down in the kitchen table so I can hug Eve. 'Thank you for taking care of Leo. I'm glad he's okay now.' I say. 'Me too. They tried the last things they could because I don't want you to loose him, and it seems like it worked.' She says. I smile as corpse holds him on a leash by the door. 'Thank you. I'm happy he's still here.' I say. 'Me too. Glad you're here again too.' She says.

We head on our way back. It's a long drive, but corpse does it in one go.

We get back to the apartment building and head inside. 'Hold on!' William says as he runs up. He's fast for his age. I chuckle as he pulls me in for a hug. He's way to kind to be a landlord. 'I'm glad you're back. I've put in a new security system.' He says. 'That's good.' I say. He pats my shoulder. 'Take care kid.' He says.

Up in our apartment I take a deep breath. The place is a mess. 'Sorry about all that.' Corpse says. 'I couldn't get myself to put everything back.' He says 'well get yourself to now. I'll take a shower.' I say. He chuckles 'yes ma'am.'

I relax under the warm water.

I take a deep breath before smiling to myself as I think of the kiss from this morning.
I could do that more often.
