We're both quiet on our way to the next destination. Corpse's blouse and jacket are slightly wet from the rain. A raindrop is making its way down his cheek. The sky lights up and soon after loud thunder sounds. It's quite dark but not because of the time.
The drive is long and eventually gets out of the city. We stop in a parking lot surrounded by trees and bushes. 'Corpse, where are we?' I ask. 'You'll see in a bit. Just let me get the umbrella.' He says. He gets out and get something out of the trunk.
The door opens and corpse stands there holding a umbrella above him as he holds his hand out for me. I take it and he helps me to my feet. We walk, me holding his arm and walking close. He's warm. 'If I didn't know better, I could have sworn you were going to kill me out here.' I say. He chuckles 'just wait.' He says. We walk down a narrow path with bushes on both sides. Corpse gently nudges me to the side, not hard enough to push me into the soaked bushes, but close. I look up at him before nudging him back. Not hard enough to push him in though. He laughs. He wants to nudge me again but I take a step back, making him fall in. I start to laugh at him but he grabs my wrist and pulls me in too. I'm half on top of him and half in the bushes. 'You made a hole in their neatly done bushes.' I say. 'Your fault.' He says while laughing. He's still holding the umbrella above the both of us. 'You started this.' I say. He grins 'no regrets here.' He says. I move off of him and onto my feet. 'Are you hurt?' I ask as I hold my hand out to help him up. 'I'm good. Just wet.' He says. 'I wonder how that happened.' I say. He smiles while looking at me. I notice some leaves in his hair. I take them out of his hair 'that's better.' I say before taking his arm again and pulling him with me.
After we make another turn, I find myself standing in front of a gigantic glass house. My jaw drops as I look at the cozily lit inside. It looks amazing. Corpse chuckles next to me 'you like it?' I nod. 'How did you even find the place?' I ask. Lightning flashes and directly after there is insanely loud thunder, making me jump. I can feel the rumbling in the ground. 'Are you okay?' Corpse asks. I'm standing against him and he has his hand on my waist. I pat his chest behind me. 'Oehhhh.' I say as I keep patting him. He takes my hands and steps away. 'Done?' He asks with a chuckle. 'Yeah. We should go inside.' I say.
He nods and we walk the last bit to the glass doors. Corpse opens the door and lets me in first. It's warm inside. The darkness outside makes it feel like another world. There are trees and flowers inside even though it's nearly December now. Corpse walks up next to me, looking equally amazed by where we are. Without looking, I reach for his lower arm. 'This is..... magical.'
The fairy lights in the trees. The roses in the bushes. The flowers. White, pink, yellow, orange, purple. Even blue. The smell of the flowers hangs in the air and when you look up at the glass roof, you see the reflection of millions of tiny lights. Somewhere a bit further away I hear water running as well. A butterfly passes by and lands on a flower. While the rest of nature sleeps, this place blooms. I see a sign that says restaurant. Corpse notices it too.
'Shall we?'
