107. Visit

I wake up half on top of corpse. I yawn 'good morning.' Corpse says. 'Hi.' I say back as I snuggle into him more. 'How did you sleep?' He asks. 'Comfortably.' I mumble. He chuckles as he lays his hand on my lower back. I finally feel like I had a good nights rest, my body feeling the slightest bit less sore.

Bimbus jumps onto the bed, jump scaring me and making corpse laugh. He's still small, though a half year has passed. 'Why are you still tiny?' I ask him as I pet him. He sits down on corpse, right next to me. He meows, making me giggle 'just saying.' I say back to him.

During the day I get started on the long home made meal. It takes three hours till it's done, and we head out with two sealed bowls. Selene is quiet and looks upset as she sits in the back of the car. 'You okay?' I ask as I turn in my seat. 'Yeah, I just hope he's okay.' She says. 'He was okay when I last talked to him. It's going to be alright.' I tell her. She nods with a weak smile.

We arrive at the military hospital and we head inside, first to smithy for Selene. 'I'm sorry, I'm looking of one of my soldier.' I say. 'What's the name?' The nurse asks. 'Liam Smith.' I say. 'Wait his name isn't smithy?' Corpse asks. I chuckle 'no.' I say as the nurse looks at his file. 'Any more information?' He asks. 'He's from the 15. His military number is 024-375-487.' I say. The nurse sees the name. 'On the third floor, recovery section F. Room 415.' I nod 'thanks.'

We head up to his room, and knock before walking in. He opens his eyes and looks at us. 'Lieutenant! Selene!' He says happily. Though it's hard for him to be as excited as he always is, he's still happy. Selene runs over and hugs him, making me smile. I set the food down on his nightstand. 'Made you some dinner.' I say. He smiles 'thanks, anything better then hospital food.' He says. I nod with a smile as Selene holds his hand. 'Are you okay?' She asks looking upset. He holds her hand in his while holding the other over her hand as well. 'I'm alright. I still need to recover but I'm all good.' He says with a reassuring smile. 'Everyone will be on a three week break since what happened.' I say. 'Little vacation.' He says back. 'You could see it like that. Me and corpse will go see Marksen, we'll be back later.' I say as I pull corpse out of the room with me. 'He's cute. They look nice together.' Corpse says. I smile and hold his arm 'they do.' I say.

We head to Marksen's room.

'Ey dickhead.' I say as I walk in. He yawns before laying his head back and grinning. 'What up fat ass.' He says back. Corpse chuckles as he walks in after me. 'I made you food cause you didn't die on me.' I say as I set the bowl down. 'Better be good.' He says as he looks at it. I smack the back of his head before sitting down next to the bed. 'Auw.' He says as he rubs the spot 'I'm in the hospital, be nice.' He says as he gives me puppy eyes. I laugh a little 'Mhm.' I say.

Corpse sits down in the window frame. 'Nice to see you again C.' Marksen says. 'Same to you.' He says back. 'So you're a tough one. Heard what happened. How are you holding up?' Corpse asks. 'Ah it's alright. I can walk but they won't let me yet.' He answers. 'You don't know about the damage that's been done, listen to the doctor.' I tell him.

He mocks me, making me raise my hand and him flinch as he things I'm going to slap the back of his head.

'I mean it Evan. Please be careful.' I say. He smiles softly 'I will, for your efforts.' He says. 'Thanks.' I say as I sit back. 'So how has everything been while she was away?' Evan asks corpse. 'Quiet.' He says. Evan hums 'yeah I bet, she's loud as can be.' He says. I scoff with a smile, folding my arms. 'Well in a way.' Corpse agrees. 'Ohhhh!' I say as I turn to him. Both men chuckle. 'Not fair.' I say as I hold my own laugh. 'By the way, you know smithy right?' I ask Evan. He nods. 'He's dating his sister.' I say as I point at corpse. 'Really?' Evan asks with a laugh. 'Yeah.' Corpse says back.

After a long conversation, it gets late.

'We're heading out.' I say as I stand up. 'Alright, about time.' He says jokingly. 'Fine I'll go.' I say as I walk over to the door. 'Noooo, I want a hug!' He whines. I chuckle and walk back over. 'Just this once.' I say as I hug him. He leans forward to hug back. And groans when he sits back. 'You can't even walk, stay in bed.' I say as I see the pain on his face. 'Just get out.' He says as he waves me off with a smile. I walk over to the door where corpse is waiting. 'See you again man.' Corpse says. 'Yeah, thanks for coming along today.' Evan says back. 'Gets some rest Evan.' I say as we open the door. 'I will.' He says as he smiles at me. 'Good. Bye.' I say. He waves at us and we walk out.

We pick Selene up from smithy's room and head back, dropping Selene off at corpse's old apartment, seeing how she wanted to stay there for the night.
