73. Captured.

As the sun sets we get everyone ready for tonight.

Tonight, three teams will go against one another. Alpha, Echo, and Delta. The only thing that I know is that we're Echo and the entirety of the left side of the training flied will be ours to use. It's playing war. Having to capture the other teams without getting caught yourself.

'So I take it everyone understands.' I say to the people in front of me. 'If you follow the person you were with you'll be okay.' I tell them. I take out the brown and green small boxes. 'With these, you'll cover your face. Get prepared, the second the sun is down completely, it's starting.' I say. Everyone gets ready, going to their group. I divided my platoon in three groups. Each having at least one skilled person with them. I sit down next to corpse, turning him to me and covering his face. When done I do mine. 'Stick with me tonight. Training like this is no joke.' I say. He seems tense but exited.

Everyone stands ready with their backpack on. We stand and wait for the siren. I already made us leave camp, because if anyone's knows we camp at the coordinates, we'd go down first. The siren starts, making corpse and the others tense. 'You know wat to do! Survive the night and make me proud!' I yell over the siren before we all start to run. My idea is to take everyone down to the bottom of the usable coordinates. Then take the small building there as cover. 'Alright, stay down and quiet.' I say as we start to move. Everything is fine till we have to cross a road. We stay in the bushes, me leading and smithy taking back. I quickly and quietly make my way to the other side, turning to the group and signing for them to come. But right when I do another group runs up, corpse was second, so he gets grabbed and put to the ground along with Williams wife. The ones who didn't get caught retreat quickly. I lay down on the ground so they won't see me. I watch as corpse and the woman get lifted up and taken with the group, bound by their hands. I soon notice it's Eves group. 'Dammit.' I curse under my breath before getting up. I cross the road quietly and head to the others. 'They got my wife.' William whispers. 'And my boyfriend. We'll follow them, see what they're doing and where they're going, if they split up we'll take them on.' I say. They nod. We move quietly through the dark woods, staying close enough to see them.

After at least one and a half hours they stop at the lake, making both Williams wife and corpse sit on their knees. 'What are they doing?' Smithy asks. Like I hoped, more then half of the group leaves. Leaving three guys to watch over the both of them. 'Okay, time to get them back.' I say as I stand up completely. Smithy, Williams and me stand up. Leaving smithy's grandpa behind so he's a save distance. We grab them by their necks at the same time and force them down onto the ground. Once they're bound, I head to corpse. 'I'm starting to like Eve a little less.' Corpse says, trying to joke a bit. I scoff as I cut off the plastic band that was binding his hands. 'You okay?' I ask as I look at his wrists to check if they weren't too tight. 'Yeah, I'm fine.' He says. We stand up 'time to go. We're heading down again.' I say. I start on the lead, having been taken off coarse.

We reach the building and enter quietly. I step in first, needing to adjust to the darkness of the room. I feel my leg get grabbed and I loose balance as I get pulled. I bright flashlight shines in my face. 'Oh shit!' The person holding it says. 'Eversman?' I ask as I shield my eyes. He turns the light off 'my bad Lieutenant.' He says. He helps me stand up and I dust myself off 'Christ. I may have thought you too much.' I say. He chuckles. A truck makes us all go quiet. 'Shit.' Eversman says. While looking out of the door to see the outside, I reach next to me to pull corpse closer, making sure I'm not loosing him again. I feel him holding my bag so I let his sleeve go. Headlights pull up and the truck stops. 'Fuck they're coming here.' I say as I pull my group with me. 'Get out the back and wait for me.' I say as I head up the second floor. Eversman takes my group with him as I head up alone. I pull a smoke grenade out of my bag and throw it close to the truck. It doesn't stop the people for heading for the building, but they get a little disoriented. I quickly head out before seeing lights. People with flashlights are at both mine and Eversman group. 'Fuck.' I quickly head over, hiding as much as I can. They get taken apart, and I'm not able to see who is who in the dark. People from the truck come as well and take some people too. 'Where's the Lieutenant?!' I hear an unfamiliar voice ask. There is no answer.

So now it's up to me, alone, to get them out.
