The first day starts for me as the guys have to wait one more day till their first mission.

The day takes long seeing how I watch every hour go by till I can go and check on them. When I do I head out of the medical bay and head to their room. I open the door to find all of them nervous again. 'Bonjour!' I say over enthusiastic. They all look up. 'What's going on fuckers, we gonna plan or not.' I say. They all seem happy by my presence and words. We all walk out to get dinner first. We get a plate and sit down in the sand outside, taking in the last bit of sunlight. 'So?' I ask. 'Taking over the east side of Bayak. Full of blind sport and territory full of IED (improvised explosive device) so dangerous in every way of it.' Eversman says. 'Alright. Transportation?' I ask. 'Three humvees.' Jackson answers. 'Alight. The first thing to keep in mind is that you can only fire, when they fire at you, and you're sure of it. Those are the rules. Second, take a local that knows it's way around, get it fixed with the general. Third, bring a talk.' I say. 'We have that.' Eversman says. 'Alright, good. Show me the map.' I say. Jackson hands it over.

'Alright so you want to come in from the south side?' I ask. Eversman nods. 'Okay, that's possible. Do you know anything about the south side of it?' I ask. 'The first 1600 feet are clear, everyone evacuated and a different unit came through this morning.' He says. 'Okay that's good, so your first stop will be there, take cover, take a break and get everyone back in the game.' I say. Eversman nods. 'Make sure to watch out for sniper holes. You're never save from those.' I say. He nods again. 'Are you together with someone else?' I ask. 'Uhm... sargent Ryker.' He says. 'Alright, when you get there it's all a guessing game, acting on the surrounding area. Where you shouldn't go, you don't go. Find an advantage point. Keep everyone save.' He nods again. 'Alright gents, it's late. How late is your leave?' I ask. '0500.' I nod. 'I'll be there.' I say.

We all go to sleep and I wake up in time, heading to their room again. They all put on their gear. 'Ready gentlemen?' I ask. 'Yes ma'am.' I nod. 'It's weird though, without you.' Jonson says. 'Ahw, you'll get over it.' I say. When they walk out the talk and medic stand ready. The all shake hands. 'Get in done for me boys.' I say. Some walk off but Dolsen seems scared. I grab his shoulder. 'Hey keep your head up.' I say. 'I'm not to exited to go back out since what happened last time.' He says. 'It was a one time thing. Not happening again.' I say. He lets out a shaky breath. 'Are you sure Eversman will be okay to do this?' He asks. 'I have made the decision of him doing this because I know he can.' I say. He nods 'alright, okay.' He says. He starts to walk to the Humvee. 'Ey Dolsen.' I say. He turns back 'I got You're back, even from afar.' I say as I hold up a walkie-talkie. He looks at it. 'Eves has the other.' I say. He smiles. 'Got damn.' He says as he pulls me in for a brief hug, slapping me on the back twice before letting go. 'Now get your ass out there, you're taking up precious time.' I say. He laugh 'yes ma'am.' He says. Before walking to the humvee.

I watch them ride off with a strange feeling.
It doesn't feel right.
