The next day is the open day. Corpse heard me talk about it while I was on the phone so he's planning to come take a look with his sister. I stand in front of my group as a Young girl stops in front of me. 'I want to be like you when I grow up!' She says excitedly. 'Oh yeah?' I ask. The mother of the girl chuckles. 'Come on Maddy!'

'You got a fan base.' Eversman says with a grin. I slap him on the back of the head. 'Get back in line.' I say with a smile. 'Alright, alright!' He gets back. 'Daddy!' A boy runs up to my group. Surprised I look at where the kid I'd heading. Jackson chuckles, something I don't see him do a lot. He kneels down and picks the kid up. 'Hey bugger.' He says. 'I sat in the back of a truck!' The kid says. I smile at them. 'Lieutenant Harris?' A kind looking woman asks. 'Yes?' I say back. 'I'm Rick's wife, Elena. I wanted to thank you for bringing him back safely every time.' She says. I smile at her 'I'm just doing my job, ma'am.' I say. She smiles back 'and you're doing it very well. Thank you again and have a nice day.' She says. 'Same to you.' I say before she walks up to Jackson as well. I see Brooks playing with the little boy as Jackson hugs his wife. 'Damn, is everyone having a family gathering?' Eversman asks. I decide to break off the line and have a break. 'Seems so.' I say as other greet some people too. 'So at thirteen hundred, the shooting range will open. They asked us to fill then. I look at my watch to see that it's 12:30. 'Alright. Do the others know?' I ask. 'No ma'am.' I nod as I look at them. 'I'll get everyone together in fifteen, take a short break.' I say as I pat his shoulder before walking to the drinks. I get a cup of tea and drink it, watching the weird scene of civilians and soldier. It's busy.

After the fifteen minutes I whistle loudly. '15th! Attention!' They all look up, this is another working day for them after all. I give them time to come and stand in line so they can say something to the people they're with. 'Okay. At thirteen hundred we are expected at the shooting range. We'll have ten minutes to get things ready. At fourteen hundred, the 24th will take over. Meaning we'll have to be there for an hour. A group of newbies will keep us supplied when where there.' I say. They nod. 'Alright. Go tell the people who came to see you. I expect you there at the requested time. You're dismissed.' I say.

'Amelia!' I look up at the familiar voice. Even my guys stay in place, wanting to know who called out to me, using my first name. I turn to see corpse and Selene walking up. 'Hey!' I say excitedly. They both hug me. 'How are you guys doing?' I ask. 'We're good.' Corpse says. 'This is so cool!' Selene' excitement makes me chuckle. 'Yo lieutenant! Introduce us!' Jonson says. The others seem to want to know too. Half of the group is off with family or friends, leaving behind a small group of curious men. I chuckle 'fine, get your asses over here.' I say. 'Lieutenant?' Corpse asks as they jog up. 'Damnnn.' Selene says. 'Hey man! Nice to meet you!' Jonson says as he shakes corpse's hand. Surprisingly enough, corpse seems comfortable around the guys. I watch as they ask him tons of questions. He smiles brightly and laughs at the ridiculous questions. When I look over to Selene I notice Smithy with a blushing face next to her. 'Smithy!' I call out. He tenses up, standing like he should when a superior asks for your attention. 'Lieutenant.' He says back as I walk up. 'This is Selene, my boyfriend's sister. She's nineteen, and has a boyfriend.' He turns even more red. He's not harmful. She chuckles 'You're really nice though.' She says. I look at my watch. There are five minutes left, meaning we have to head on our way. '15th! Watch your time!' I warn in a loud voice. 'Ahw man. Can we keep him?' Brooks asks. I chuckle as I walk up to corpse. 'He's cool. He'd fit right in.' I chuckle and shake my head. 'Time to head to the shooting range, soldier.' I say. He nods as I turn to corpse. 'I have to get to work. I'll be done at two, feel free to look around.' I say. He nods and hugs me 'alright. See you in a bit.' He says.

Helping at the shooting range is a lot of work. Safety precautions, and dangerous kids wanting to try out weapons makes it even hards. After 40 minutes it's feels like I've been working for a full day. 'May I?' The next one asks. I smile and turn to corpse. 'You really want to do this?' I ask. He shrugs 'I saw you were the one helping. Makes it a little more intriguing.' He says. I slap his chest 'I'm at work, don't get any ideas.' I say. I hand him the rifle 'alright. It's already loaded, so watch the trigger.' I say. I move his hands in the right place. 'Put the back in your shoulder. He moves it, but it still doesn't seem right, so I move it a little more. 'Now try.' I say. He looks and points before pulling the trigger. He misses. Everyone can go until they hit the target so I let him try another time. 'Aim, breath in, pull the trigger, breath out.' He nods and gets ready. He hits the target, getting an eight on the screen. 'Nice!' I say. He hands me the rifle 'can you do it?' He asks. He doesn't know I have certifications for sniper, rifle and pistol, so this'll be fun. I hold the rifle right, aim and shoot, getting a 9,7. 'Ah Shit.' He says with a chuckle. 'Could have been better Lieutenant!' I hear Jackson call out. I laugh 'could have been.' I mumble. 'Ten is the highest score, right?' Corpse asks. 'Yeah.' I say back. 'Let her work!' Selene says as it takes to long.

They leave and wait till me and the group can head home, though the open day is still not done.

We walk out, and I immediately spot corpse. 'We want him in the group!' Jonson says. 'Yeah, yeah. I heard you the first time.' I say with a laugh. 'He's nice.' Brooks says. 'Cool voice too.' Smithy adds. 'Okay that's enough crushing on my boyfriend for today.' I say with a chuckle. 'Hey man!' Jackson says as eye claps corpse on his back 'tiring day huh?' Corpse asks. 'Hell man.' He says back. 'Well, stop following me just so you can talk to him. I wanna head home.' I say. Corpse chuckles as he places his hand on my lower back. 'Ahw man. I hope we'll see you around!' They all say bye to corpse before saluting to me. 'Evening lieutenant!' Smithy jumps a couple of times as he waves.

'My god.' Corpse says with a laugh. 'So they liked you.' I say. 'Those are "your guys" then, right?' He asks. 'It's my group, yeah.' He smiles 'they're nice.'
