I'm curled up in corpse's embrace 'I want to visit his grave tomorrow.' I say. 'Of course.'
'Corpse?'
'Amelia.'
'I love you.'
'I love you too.'I stretch so I'm laying on him, I snuggle my face into the crook of his neck. 'I didn't know it was your birthday.' He says. 'Because I didn't tell you.' I answer as he moves his hand under my shirt and gently scratches my back. I hum and the nice feeling. 'You're really different from him.' I say. 'Yeah?' He asks. 'Mhm.' I answer. 'How so?' I ask. 'You know what pain and damage is like, and you're good at comforting.' I say. 'That's not always good.' He says. 'It's better to me.' I say. 'I'm not better then him.' He says. I hum in response. No he's not. Their equal. And I'll love both for the rest of my life, though I'm lucky enough to have corpse by my side. How beautiful is my life because of that. 'You don't understand.' I say. 'I may not, no.' He says. 'You know, I may not believe in god, and the afterlife. But I'd like to think, that David went to heaven and made me cross paths with you. Because I don't know why I would have met you otherwise.' I say. Corpse wraps his arms around my waist. 'Maybe. Maybe not.' He says. 'No matter how it happened. I'm happy to be here.' I say. 'Yeah, I am too.' He says.
I wake up by corpse standing with a tray of food in front of me. 'What's this?' I ask as I rub my eyes and sit up in bed. 'Breakfast in bed.' He says. I smile at him and scoot over so he can sit down next to me. He sits down and coughs. I kiss his cheek 'thank you.' I say at the cute breakfast. 'Oeh!' My eyes fall on the single red rose. I take it and smell it. I smile at the beautiful flower. 'You like roses?' He asks. 'They're my favorite.' I say. 'Simple roses?' He asks. 'They're not simple. Do you know how hard it is to maintain roses?' I ask with a laugh. 'No?' I look away and pout 'it's hard.' I say. He giggles, letting out an accidental squick at the end. 'Ahwwww.' I say as I hold his face. 'That was adorable!' I say as his face gets a little red. 'Shush.' He says. 'Ahw my boyfriends so cute.' I say as I wrap my arms around his neck and hug him. 'Amelia stop.' He says with a laugh.
We eat breakfast before Selene asks me to join her. She wants to go shopping. I get dressed and tag along with her.
'What should I wear to your dinner party?' She asks. 'Oh nothing too fancy.' I say. 'A simple dress?' She asks. 'If you're comfortable.' I say. We walk into the next store. 'So will the cute guy from the open day be there too?' She asks. I snort before covering my mouth. 'What?' She asks. I laugh 'really?' I ask. She shrugs 'he was cute and nice.' She says with a smile. 'Well, yes, he'll be there.' I say. She smiles brightly 'what's he like?' She asks. 'He's cute and nice.' I say. She gives me a mocking smile. 'He's smart. The youngest we have but the most intelligent for that. He's very nice to people, a little to nice to be in the army.' I say. 'Ahw.' She says. I chuckle 'Jesus, don't tell me you have an eye on him.' I say. 'I don't know him.' She says. 'But you want to get to know him.' I say. 'Oh yeah! Definitely.' She says determined, making me laugh.
