'Where is C?' Jonson asks. I look around me, noticing he's gone 'I don't know.' I say. 'He's there.' Jackson says as he points in the direction. When I look I see him and Maddison together. She's holding his arm. 'Let's hope you're not the jealous type.' Jonson says. 'She's not, but she is the protective type.' Jackson says as I stand up. I walk over and stop a bit away from them. 'They won't believe you anyways, stop trying because no one will ever stay. You really think when a girl says her ex is abusive they won't believe her? You even look the part.' Maddison says. 'Why are you still trying to fuck me over?' He asks. 'The oh so perfect boyfriend act is sickening. You're fucked up beyond repair. I tried to fix you and it took all my energy. You wore me out.' She says. Corpse wants to say something but I step closer. Taking her hand off of corpses arm. 'Maybe you were just to weak, and didn't care enough.' I say before turning my back to her and looking at corpse. He looks desperate for something. 'Oh come on. He'd flinch when I'd get mad. He couldn't take anything.' She says with a scoff. Clench my jaw and turn around. 'So you throw the abusive part onto him though it was you.' I say. She laughs 'a man should be able to take it.' I step closer, nearly standing against her now 'I'm so fucking close to beating your ass for real.' I say. 'Bluff.' She says with a grin. I grab her throat. Not hard, just as warning. 'Don't fuck with me.' I say before pushing her back a little. 'Have fun trying to fix the asshole!' She says before walking off.

I turn to corpse, he looks blank. 'Hey.' I say softly as I step closer. 'Yo the fuck did you do?!' I hear Brooks yell at Maddison. The guys are on her after having watched and heard everything. I take corpse's cold hand in mine and squeeze it gently. 'Fuck her. Let it be.' I say. He shakes his head and wants to step away, but I hold on to his hand. 'Corpse. It's over, it's okay.' I say.

I pull him in for a hug, and suddenly smithy joins in too, getting a chuckle from corpse. Then smithy's grandpa joins to, and so the whole group adds on. 'You're part of the team now.' Eversman says. 'Yeah!' Someone answers. 'We're here for you.' I smile and bury my face into corpse's chest while being surrounded by my home away from home.

This, right here, will always be there reason I can't give up my job.
