Two weeks had passed since you and Inosuke moved into your new apartment and settled yourself home. It has been a struggle to finish all plus Inosuke losing it when he couldn't finish what he said he'd do. You were worn out and tired, that was it. But now that everything was done and ready, you thought "why not making us some delicious dessert". Inosuke's been out with his two friends, Tanjiro and Zenitsu, so he wasn't home almost the whole day. And if you were honest, you would have gladly spent it with him but he hasn't seen them more than two weeks. Sure they'd were here to help and lend you guys a hand, but spending time together was impossible until you finally moved in. You slowly got up the couch and put your movie on pause. Stretching yourself a bit, you headed to your small but cozy kitchen to make some sweets to eat because Inosuke loved it and you knew he'd eat every last of them. So you pulled out ingredients you needed for chocolate cupcakes and started preparing them.
{a few minutes later}
Your phone rang, as you assumed it was your boyfriend, he surely must have been on his way back home now. "Inosuke! How was it" hearing him laugh, you knew he enjoyed himself so you waited for him to continue. "I had SO SO much fun!! But I am going now since it is already this late" "Sure sure, please be safe because I have a sweet surprise!" You immediately hang up, laughing to yourself as to hearing him gasp before the you had ended the call. With that you went to take the cupcake out of the oven, the sweet smell making your mouth already water. Making sure you prepared it on the small table in front of your tv, you heard the door open. 'Wow he was indeed fast' you thought to yourself till his head poked in and he smiled widely. Just a few seconds later he was embracing you and literally yelling how much he had missed you, and so his gaze fell to the cupcakes. "Are these for me babes?" You nodded happily and he didn't waste time ans started to eat them. With his mouth full, he gestured you to come closer to him, which you did.
As you sat down to him on the floor, he took another cupcake and stuffed it into your mouth. Yes, the both of you ended up making a whole mess, but he loved to make you smile beautiful even if he had to do stupid and random things such as this.
After all, this small moments is what he treasures and keeping you smiling for eternity.
