Tanjiro walked around the demon slayer headquarters wanting to find the girl that seemed mysterious to him. Whenever he or anyone else approached her, she responded like there was no life in her. The only person she talked to, like a real conversation, was the stone hashira Gyomei. But with him she too didn't show any emotions. Even Nezuko tried cheering her up, but she failed miserably. Tanjiro thought a lot about what made her like that or who.. So he decided to ask Shinobu, since she took the (h/c) haired girl in. At the butterfly estate he searched for her and eventually found her. „Kocho-san, can I ask something? I know you may be busy right now, but I'm curious". Shinobu looked confused for awhile but nodded with a smile. „It's okay Tanjiro, ask whatever is on your mind. I will try to answer it". For a second he glanced at her, then spoke up: „I'm curious about (Y/N). I actually would like to know what made her so..so emotionless". His voice was filled with sadness about the girl. Shinobu sighed deeply, her smile vanishing. „I rather would let her explain this to you, but since she does not talk to anybody, I will have to say it sooner or later. So listen good Tanjiro".
„She lived in a family that was happy and loving. (Y/N) had two younger and one older sibling with a mother and father. That was until an upper moon attacked their house and killed everyone in front of her eyes. She couldn't do anything but be prepared to get eaten, that's when the stone hashira appeared and saved her life. After this she got trained till she became the rank tsugoku. Until one night another innocent family was killed..and she couldn't do anything again. That shock brought back memories and let her heart shatter again and again. And then she closed herself...not wanting to experience that again".
After the talk with Shinobu, Tanjiro felt so sad and sorrowful to hear her story. Nezuko approached her brother by tapping him on the shoulder. „Uh sorry Nezuko, I got lost in my mind. What's up?". She pointed to the figure of the girl that Tanjiro thought of. „Okay stay here, I'll go talk to her". He smiled at his sister while patting her head. „(L/N)-san! Wait! I want to talk, well I know you don't do it but trust me, I'm not going to hurt you". He tried smiling at her to make it clear he didn't wanted to hurt her. The girl stood there, no response and no emotions being seen through her eyes. Not even a spark. Her eyes were dull and no more a bright (e/c). She hummed and turned away, clearly not wanting him to talk. „I know what happened to you. I'm so sorry to hear that and I would've saved you all if I could've go back in time. Please let me help". She turned around again staring into his eyes. „So she told you. I know your no bad guy, but still this isn't your problem. So don't go bugging in people's business".
'Why can't she be happy again?'
„I want to make you smile again, whatever it takes!" (and again my thoughts were on the my hero academia anime where Eri smiled again..) You stared blankly at him, trying to understand if he really meant that. „Do..do you really...mean that?". Tanjiro sighed,smiled brightly and nodded. „What I say has always it's meanings. And I really want to make you smile again and forget every terrible memory". You stood there and watched him. A small blush came across your face as you tried to smile a bit. Tanjiro understood the gesture and hugged you happily. „Thank you..nobody even ever...tried what you just did..". He only smiled and happy that he could open her up.
„I will do my best and save you from your tragedy (Y/N)".
