Today Kyojuro was about to surprise you. He 'went' on a mission, which he has told you so, but in fact, it wasn't some mission to slay some demons. He was on the search in town to find a little suitable gift for you as your anniversary was coming up and this man wanted something meaningful for you. Your his whole world and he'd give anything to see your smile that he loved so much. If his beloved was happy then so was he. At home you were preparing yourself for the day, cleaning, cooking, taking care of the plans you and the man owned and so on. "He's supposed to come back today, he better do because i didn't cook those sweet potatoes for nothing". You looked around, the smell of the cooked food making you already hungry at this point. What you didn't know was, that the flame hashira was already close to your shared home, his gift nicely wrapped around with decorative paper.
This man was about to make a grand entrance to surprise you. As you were busy occupied in the kitchen, he opened the door to your shared home as silently as possible. He put away his nichirin sword and haori aside and on tipy toes coming to you. He watched how focused you were and enjoyed yourself while cooking. A gentle smile adorned his face seeing his lover so happy. He jumped and loudly yelled "SURPRISE!", which made you yelp and almost fall. "Kyoujuro! How dare you scare me like that!?" He laughed at this and pulled the gift behind his back, your composure calming down. "What's that? You were supposed to be on a mission, no? Are you alright??!" The tall male steps closer, his hand gently caressing your face. "I may or may not asked master to give me a day off! Our anniversary is tomorrow and i wanted to get you a gift to show you my love!" The said man proudly said, a bright smile making its way to his face. "Thank you..it wasn't needed but i will cherish it anyways, kyojuro". He handed you the gift, your heart racing to find out what he got you. Gently, you started to unwrap the gift, your excitement growing. Letting out a gasp, you look up to the male, his smile never leaving his face. "And (y/n)? How do you like it?"
"I like it a lot kyojuro...the photo of our wedding day..i'll make a nice place for it, thank you again". A small blush was spreading on your face as kyojuro bursted out in happiness. He was really happy you loved it and he knew how important every moment you cherished with him.
After all he would never forget something as this special. He loves you to the moon and back and would sacrifice anything for your happiness, your smile, well being and so much more. He would want you to live the best as you can and so he will be at peace too.
