It was never what you had planned, but guess it somehow did attract you.
You slowly woke up, the morning sun shining brightly throughout your window, making it a lovely way to wake up. Stretching your sleepy body first, you looked around the room searching for your hashira clothes. Yesterday, Amane had told you that Ubuyashiki had called you in for today and that he would assign you for a mission. The thoughts of what kind of mission crossed your mind endlessly. 'Hopefully I don't have to do something too much..I only came back two days ago and to that pretty exhausted plus injured' Sighing softly, you changed into your clothes, swinging the haori over your shoulders and putting your sword by your hip. To look more presentable you had taken your (h/c) into a low bun. And so you left your house quite disappointed but you understood that it was first priority killing demons and saving the innocent people. After all, it was your duty as a hashira. And there was no other choice than fight or die by the hands of a demon.
Walking to Ubuyashiki's estate was calming, like the calm breeze before a storm. "(Y/N)-chaaaann!!!" You turned around and saw the pink haired woman running towards you, which embraced you tightly in a hug, you returning it. "Mitsuri-chan, what are you doing so early? I thought you'd have a free day?" She shook her head softly, a light blush appearing on her cheeks. "I am visiting Obanai-kun!! And you are probably going on a mission again, right?" Nodding annoyed, the pink haired woman only chuckled. "Well then (Y/N)-chan, be careful!" With that she gave you another hug and went to see Obanai. Coming closer to the masters estate, his wife Amane had greeted you, telling you to follow her so Ubuyashiki could assign the mission to you officially.
"Good morning master. I hope your doing good today. I pray for your health" He smiled to himself, "Thank you my dear. I apologize for this inconvenience, but an upper moon was sighted to be in a little town, eating men and I thought you'd do a great job dealing with the demon. I will make sure to compensate you sometime (Y/N)". You bowed, thankful for his kind words. "Master, there is no need to compensate me. It is my duty protecting innocent people. If you excuse me now, I will make myself ready for the leave". 'Such a kind and gentle soul..come back safely (Y/N)' And with that, your mission had started to seek down the demon and kill it so it wouldn't harm any human being. But what you didn't know, the demon himself was already awaiting you...to be exactly, a real hashira. Ever since you left the headquarters, a strange and unwelcoming feeling haunted you.

It was your perfect timing to arrive, the night approached nearer and nearer and so will the demon. At least so you had thought. Soon enough the moon was already up, the stars sparkling in the night sky and the people slowly disappeared in their houses, searching safety from the demon haunting them. As you crossed the street, your hands automatically gripped the sword, prepared for a surprise attack. The demon's eyes followed you from the roof, examining every single move. He even had to chuckle about your frail looking frame, but he wasn't this dumb. No, he knew you were strong, a worthy opponent yet you were a woman, and that was the thing he couldn't get out of his head. He respected woman, he doesn't kill nor eat them. But what about you? What was so different? He didn't..he couldn't figure it out why. "Well, well...look who we got here. A pretty lady by herself~" A deep chuckle came from him, making you turn around in a matter of seconds. 'So this was this uneasy feeling inside me! Bastard!!' "Oh..are you trying to scare me pinky?"
He huffed in slight annoyance, but he thought to provoke it a bit more. "Hmm..you should accompany me dearest~" At that, a cringe feeling shot throughout your body. 'He isn't actually trying to do what I think?!' "May I ask what are you up to upper three Akaza?" He jumped down from the roof, a smirk plastered across his handsome face. Akaza reached out his hand for you, "Become a demon with me (Y/N). I shall promise to protect you with my life. And you know that I don't hurt woman~" His smirk formed into a small smile, which you couldn't deny, was cute. "I am a hashira and protect people..I don't want to hurt them..my family and friends, what about them?!" The teary eyes Akaza had not missed. It hurt him deeply seeing such a kind human, but he could protect them as well..couldn't he? "I have something else to offer" His voice deep and serious, his eyes locking into your (e/c) ones. "That's for being a kind and gentle woman...I shall protect your family. The hashira's..that I can not promise to not let them get hurt"
A little smile came back onto your tear stained face, "That is truly kind of you..Akaza. I appreciate your offer, but if my family can stay safe...I wouldn't have something against it" His seriousness turned into a real smile, your heart racing and cheeks flushing into a deep red. "Have I flustered a pretty woman like you? If so, now I can do it a lot more! Here...drink my blood and you will be by my side and so shall my promise become officially" it grossed you out seeing the blood, but what ither choice have you left? The last thing you saw, was the pink haired demon catch you, before the darkness engulfed you. "Don't worry dear. You are now safe with me and may I protect you from everyone that tries to kill you" He gently took your numb body into his arms and disappeared forever from that little town.

The moon shone throughout the broken windows, Akaza sitting besides it and watching the fireworks from afar. "Ouch..my head" The demon turned around, seeing your awakened figure trying to get up. "Take it slow (Y/N)..it might take you awhile to accept the fact now your demon. Come sit with me and watch the fireworks...they're beautiful just like you" He guided you towards the broken window and as soon as you saw the sparks of many different colors in the night sky, your mouth fell agape. "Wow...it surely is a mesmerizing sight" He let his hand hold your waist and put his head on your shoulder, breathing deeply in and out.
"I do love you and I will not let you die, it's a promise as I said" Giving him a soft kiss on the cheek, you leaned your head softly onto his. "And as I have said, it means a lot to me..thank you...I love you too"
