(I'm about to hit myself-I never wrote for Kanao girl-ugh)

Kanao walked through the butterfly estate, somehow feeling bored and lonely at the same time. It was always something happening and Shinobu, as well as Aoi and the three little girls had a lot to do and Kanao momentarily had nothing really to do. She decided to walk outside to get some fresh air and relax herself. That's until she saw a certain figure walking towards her. It was a boy with (h/c) hair and stunning (e/c) eyes. You walked nearer yet kept a distance from her to hide your extremely red face from her. It wasn't always like this, but since you've grew fond of that girl, a big crush developed then. And it made your face beet red from embarrassment. She was so graceful and beautiful yet you managed to make a full idiot of yourself in front of her. „Uh K-Kanao-chan...I-I..uhm we..have...you know..a mission t-together a-and we have...to h-head out..tomorrow". You mentally slapped yourself for stuttering so much. Rubbing your neck nervously she had flipped her coin in the air. „Okay. Then I'll see you tomorrow (Y/N)-san". With that she went back inside.

{time skip to the next day}

You ran besides Kanao, who speed up every so often when you'd reached her. It made it the hell for you keeping up with her, but the sight of the village you needed to head to was finally in reach.  Kanao looked behind her shoulder only to see you staring at her, which made her turn back immediately. A light blush came onto her pale cheeks as your face went crimson red. 'Agh...I stared too long at her!! Stop that! She shouldn't think of me as a creep even though we were sent multiple times on missions together!!'
„W-we're here (Y/N)-san. Let's look for the demon lurking here". Without any more words, she walked towards the places the demon most likely will be. After walking around almost the whole night, the demon finally appeared and started to attack the both of you. Kanao disappeared suddenly leaving you face to face with the extremely hungry demon in front of you. „You'll no longer eat innocent people nor kill anyone anymore!". The demon laughed ironically and started his more violent attacks towards you.

Kanao watched from a roof and tried to attack from above and cut through the neck of the demon. '(Y/N)-san moves interesting...he...he is so serious in a fight, yet he acts different towards me and the other hashira's...how strange..'
She watched furiously and jumped at the one moment you cut off the hands from the demon and in one swift, the demon started to disintegrate into ash. Kanao went to help you up but as she tried to lift you up, she fell on top of you. A familiar burning feeling rose up your face as the black haired girls face had a pink-ish tint of color. „I...I'm deeply sorry. I just could've...s-stand up m-myself...I-". She nodded slowly and got up, dusted herself off and motioned you to get up as well. 'Why is this happening to me..?! That's even more embarrassing than stuttering myself off!!'

{back to the headquarters}

Arriving back in the early morning, the hashira's had already gathered together and waited for the both of you to come back. As you did so, they started to chuckle and laugh quietly. Even Shinobu had to let out a little laugh at how her oblivious you two were. Mitsuri started to get all bubbly and whispered;'How cute they are together!! Kawaii!!!'
The flame hashira, who stood besides the love hashira, agreed quietly. Somehow you noticed the strange aura and how the hashira's snickered and giggled so very often. You looked to your side to see only Kanao staring at you. Your face yet again erupted into a crimson red and you tried to hide it with your arms. Kanao looked to the ground and fiddled with her fingers. „Oh my. What happened between the two of you if I may ask. Kanao? (Y/N)?". Shinobu clapped her hands as the pink haired woman beside her started to squeal.
„Just kiss already you two cuties!!! Ayy!! You definitely belong together!!". Obanai put a hand on his face, clearly embarrassed over how she acts so silly. Yours and Kanao's heads shot up, now more redder than before. „W-what?! I-..that's a m-misunderstanding!!". Your nerves were wrecking you inside and then you felt a hand on your shoulder.

Kanao smiled gently as her eyes sparkled so magnificent. „I think...I don't mind it...your incredible interesting (Y/N)-san". You pointed at yourself as she nodded and giggled. „What..in...I am officially confused...". The sigh that left your mouth relaxed all the nerves inside you. 'She..really likes me back...wow..'
Mitsuri and Shinobu clapped their hands happily as the males (except Sanemi, Giyu) cheered on the freshly new 'couple'.

Kanao leaned in and kissed your cheek softly. Her soft lips made you feel all tingly and dizzy. Yet again your face went red as all laughed and cheered.

„Your indeed interesting and your blushing face is what I adore (Y/N)-san"
