Training, training and training. The whole day was painfully difficult. You were trained by Sanemi, your older brother, who just wanted you to become strong. But your concentration never fully was on his trainings, it was on your other brother, Genya. You did had a good relationship with both of them, but something really bothered you. „Oi! Will ya already stop daydreaming?!". Sanemi's voice snapped you back from your thoughts to his angry face looking directly at yours. „Uh..yeah I'm here..?". It sounded more like a question than an answer to you but just shrugged it off. „I made you some ohagi (Y/N). Eat it up and come back when your ready again". You nodded, his tone of voice changed whenever he talked normally to you. Nobody knows this except you. 'What a big softie you are nii-chan'
Even as a determined and hard working person, there was one thing you never really achieved..a better bond with Genya. Back then when Sanemi killed your mother, he responsibly took you with him as Genya ran away...far away from you. A clearable frown made it onto your face, eyes filled with sorrow and sadness. 'I wish that we could've lived better..'. Aside from these thoughts, instead a happy memory popped up. The calm wind breeze, the birds chirping and the beautiful flowers all around is all what you needed to relax. That's when someone coughed nervously. Looking around, you spotted Genya, scratching his neck and looking away. „C-can I join you (Y/N)?". You smiled softly and mumbled a 'yes'. He sat beside you, staring into the sky and smiling softly. Taking out the lunch Sanemi made you, you tapped Genya on the shoulder. „Would you like to eat something too?". „If you let me, I s-surely can eat with you". You pushed the bento box to him so he can take out what he wants, as he did, Genya put the bento in between the both of you.
„So..how's it been going Genya?". He gulped and wiped his mouth with his sleeve. „Well...painful. I wish to rest for awhile". „Why don't you ask for permission for taking two to three days off? We could spend some time together too!". He sadly smiled as he patted your head. „I-I appreciate this..but it's duty ya know!". Frowning, you stuffed ohagi angrily into your mouth. „No no no!! Don't make that f-face!!". You kept the frown-pout, knowing he never could say no. But it wasn't just acting all out so he would take off some days. It was filled with hurt. „Why don't you do something with your friends, huh?". You ate the last ohagi and looked up at him. Your teary eyes made him panicking inside. 'What the hell did I do now?!! Ughh' „I don't wanna be with them..nor Sanemi. I wanna be with you...who knows what could happen and we couldn't have a happy time together before that...I miss you nii-san!". A loud sob escaped you and Genya became even more worried than before. Indeed your statement was true, Genya couldn't do anything about it..sadly. „H-hey! Don't cry..I'm h-here". Your older brother pulled you into a hug, trying to comfort you as he still felt a bit awkward while doing it. As he got used to it, he rubbed circles on your back, and your body relaxed.
„But why do you think so..?". You looked up to meet his warm eyes. „You do have a lot people here..s-so why me?". Genya wiped a few tears away and smiled at you, hoping he'd bring a smile back onto your features. „W-well...I always f-feel that..w-we don't have a-a great b-bond..since what h-happened..". Sniffling, you wiped your now redish nose. „Hey...it does not do anything with back then..w-we're still a brother sister duo. Remember?". „Yeah...I-I know..but it s-still feels l-like it's not the same anymore..". Genya's face changed his expression into a strict one. „Listen now you dumbass! We still are great as ever, and I would never say otherwise, understood?!". It sounded more like a 'you have to accept it or I'll get mad' than a question. „You think..so?". Genya smiled again and put a finger on your nose. „I don't think so. I know it..I feel it sis". You punched his shoulder lightly and giggled. „You agree with me now you dumbass?". He laughed and ruffled your (h/c), making it messy. „I love you nii-san!!". You basically jumped on him, making the both of you fall down in process. „Okay okay!! Stop that now!". Genya hugged you a last time before he went cleaning himself, and bid you a 'see ya later'. As you watched his figure fade, a larger hand gripped your shoulder.
„Oi!! How long will it take you to eat?! We still ha-", you looked up at his eyes and spoke; „Yeah I know. Let's get going 'Nemi". As you passed him, Sanemi smiled warmly at you, his younger little sister.
