Mitsuri Kanroji x fem! reader

You wandered nervously in circles as you checked your list for the love hashira's birthday party. Firstly on your list stood that everybody had to act like nothing was important today and let her be confused to why no one congratulated. Then you had Obanai to take care of her till evening so you and the rest of the hashira's could finish up the food and decorations in her estate. The third thing was to bring her back and finally surprise her. Kyojuro and Uzui were backup and watched over that Mitsuri wouldn't go away too soon from the serpent hashira and if she would, they could distract her for a little while more. „Oh my. You seem stressed
(Y/N)-chan, is it because of Mitsuri-chan's birthday surprise?". You only nodded and cleaned off your sweaty hands. „Ugh..I really want to make it special for her. Mitsuri helped me a lot and supported me whenever I needed it..so now I want to return the favor to her".

Shinobu hummed understandably, closing her eyes she sighed. „Don't worry dear! Iguro-san is doing a great job and we have already prepared the cake! So no worries". Her closed eye smile made your nerves relax, your muscles feeling lightly relaxed at her calm voice. „Thank you. I'll go now and make the last touch ups for the decorations". You bid a 'see you later' so the butterfly lady and ran off to the love hashira's estate. 'I have the flowers in the vase, the tables are set up, the cutlery is ready, the sweets and cake are there-oh it looks pretty..okay uhm...the presents are there and that's all I think. Now the only thing missing is Mitsuri-chan herself!'
Satisfied you left her estate to gather up the hashira's that stayed in the headquarters. After you've found all and convinced them to come, it slowly started to get darker and the sun disappeared behind the mountains.

„Iguro-san!! Where are we going now?! Wait are there Kyojuro and Tengen?". Obanai popped a vein on his forehead of the sight from the flame and sound hashira. „We are going back now, don't mind them". The two males pretend that they didn't hear the two talking. As they weren't in reach anymore, they both let out a deep sigh. „That was so not flamboyant of us! Let's hurry and get to make it the best flashy party ever!". „Of course my friend! We don't want to waste (Y/N)-chan's effort!". That said, they both took a shortcut way back.

Uzui popped in the room, close behind Kyojuro, and they both informed that Mitsuri is coming back. Everybody in the room hid somewhere and waited that the two missing people enter the room. Chatting could be heard, mostly giggles of Mitsuri and then the door opened. Before the pink haired woman entered her home, everyone jumped up, screaming; „HAPPY BIRTHDAY MITSURI-CHAN!!!". She gasped in shock and surprise as tears of joy started to fall down. „Oh my god!! Guys that's sooo super duper sweet of you!!! Ahhh!! I'm so happy!!!". The party went on and you decided to give your present to Mitsuri. „Let's go quickly outside. I gotta tell ypu something". She let her head fall to the side and let herself being dragged by you. „What is it (Y/N)-chan?". You smiled gently at her and lifted an eyebrow. „There was something else I wanted go give to you. The surprise was one thing that is from all of us. But this little present here is personal". She took the rectangular box and ripped the decor paper slowly off. Inside was a picture that you took whilst going on the new year's festival.

„It's...so beautiful. After all what you do, I always get so speechless!". She squealed happily and jumped in for a hug.

„Your the best person ever!! Your surprise really was a success".
