he's the only one who knows that y/n likes kio. "hey, i was wondering if you uhm... could hang out today after school? you can finally meet mochi." he grins. vinnie tenses up and listens closely to their conversation slightly sitting forward in his desk.
"i- i uhm had plans with vinnie already. maybe after i hang out with him or something?" y/n shrugs. her answer makes vinnie frown and slouch in his desk.
"hey y/n." he taps her shoulder. she looks back and waits for him to continue. "go with kio. just come by when you're done." he gives a small smile. "are you sure?"
"i'm positive." "thank you vin." he can tell how excited his bestfriend is to be with kio. for the rest of the school day vinnie was upset and slightly frustrated.
________
"hey vinnieee." the girl walks in his room giddy. "hey y/n." "what's wrong?" she asks as she sits next to him.
"it's nothing." he gets up and moves away from the girl. "vin-" "please leave."
y/n softly looks at vinnie and wonders what she did. "what did i do? we always-" she gets cut off by an angry vinnie. "GET OUT! GET OUT Y/N I WANT NOTHING TO DO WITH YOU. GET OUT!"
the, now, fourteen year old girl does as told and storms out his room, tears falling.
"vinnie why is y/n walking out here crying? what did you do? ON HER BIRTHDAY!" mrs.hacker comes in her son's room.
"i didn't do anything." he mumbles. "yes you did. i'm not asking you again. WHAT. DID. YOU. DO."
"i asked her to get out." "why would you say that." the middle aged woman crosses her arms. "it's nothing. it's whatever."
"it's not whatever. go across the damn street and apologize. don't you dare make somebody cry on their birthday and don't EVER make a girl walk home by herself." his mom points towards the door.
