"Y/NNN i cant pronounce itttt" vinnie groans as he can't pronounce i love you in tagalog properly.

"okay here, let's take it slow. ma-hal ki-ta" i slowly say as he repeats after me. "okay now put it together v"

"mahAl kEEta" he repeats proudly, making me burst into laughter.

["mahal kita" means i love you.
pronounced : (muh- hall) (key-tuh) ]

"v, you have to use the filpino dialect. we pronounce the "a"different. it's like how you pronounce "a" in spanish. i know you know that"

"this is so complicated" he dramatically sighs. "it's TWO words. it's not even a "how are you""

"how the HELL do you say THAT thenn?!"

"kumusta ka"

["kumusta ka" means how are you?
pronounced : (coo-moo-stuh) (kuh) ]

"ku..moo-sta... ka!!" he stutters a bit. "that's a lot better. but i'll teach you some other time because knowing you, you're gonna get frustrated" i laugh at the thought of how easily mad he gets.

"whatever puta" he says jokingly, making me chuckle. "putang ina mo, bobo ka?" i ask, knowing he won't understand. "HUH?"

"it means fuck you, are you dumb?" "that's not nice" he says looking down. "well are you? puta has the same meaning in tagalog, as it does spanish" i clear up.
