"what if they don't like me?" vinnie asks as we drive to the restaurant to meet my friends. "they will." i laugh at how nervous he is. "but what IF they don't?"

"they will tho. there's no need to think negative. just be yourself." i give him a reassuring smile before we exit the car.

"hey, amy. hey, layla." i hug my friends. "this is vinnie." i step to the side so they can greet him. i watch as they bite their lip and stare at him. "hey vinnie, i'm layla." she goes in for a hug.

"hey i'm amy." she gives layla a dirty look as she shakes his hand. we sit down and i look over at vinnie who seems uncomfortable.

i shut off my phone and look up at layla who's admiring vinnie. what's up with her..? "so vinnie, do you see yourself with anybody else?" layla asks.

"no, i love y/n and i wanna keep it that way." he smiles. "oh." i hear my phone go off and see amy texted me.

i'll pass. i'll just wait till she crosses her boundaries.

"did you know y/n use to date this boy who she use to be madly in love with, right before she dated you." i hear layla. "that's fine. it doesn't matter, i have her now and i'm not loosing her."

"layla, remember when you got cheated on and you still went back to him over and over? also when you took y/n's boyfriend?" amy butts in.

"yeah, so she should be careful i don't take vinnie." i hear her mumble. "deadass, you're being disrespectful. what's up your ass?" i ask, my patience getting low.

"nothing, i'm just saying to watch your boyfriend. i might steal another one again." after those words come out her mouth i reach over the table and slap her.

i get up and put money on the table, paying for the meal i never got. "babe relax." vinnie runs up behind me and tries to calm me down. "i don't like her at all. not as a friend or in general. if that makes you feel better." he hugs me.

"that was kinda hot tho." he continues on. "shut up." i slap his chest playfully.
