"he's my fucking boyfriend not yours. he doesn't want you and never will. stay in your place before i put you in your place bitch." vinnie's girlfriend, samantha, scolds at me.
"miss girl... i don't want him. he's literally my bestfriend. and if i DID, i wouldn't ruin his relationship, he's happy. not my problem, YOU don't know where you two stand" i say. "just stop talking to him".
i looked at her dead in her eyes as she crosses her arms giving me a stank look. "i've known him since we were babies, i'm not giving up my friendship of 18 years for YOU." i say, while my voice gets a bit loud.
"bitch shut up. just stop talking to him. if you ruin my relationship, i promise you i'll ruin your pathetic ass life. you're nothing without vinnie." she spat.
oh... MY LIFE IS PATHETIC? girl...
"SAMANTHA, i'm not gonna argue or fight with you right now. we're at a family gathering, that YOU weren't invited to, for one. two, you're NOT gonna yell at me in MY family's house. and three, you're my bestfriend's girlfriend, i'm not gonna ruin anything. YOU'RE the one ruining it." i notice her hand shoot up and before she can slap anybody, i grab her arm.
"don't. bring your ass back out there and act like none of this happened. i won't tell vinnie anything and you won't either" i warn her as i pull her arm down roughly. she walks towards the backyard where everybody else was.
this is gonna be a long dayyy.
"hey you good? you look a bit mad" vinnie asks me. "yeah perfectly good." i smile as i sit down next to him. i feel eyes burning holes in my head and look over to see his girlfriend smirking at me.
i look down at what she's doing and wish i didn't. i know she isn't just- yuckk. "vin, take it upstairs. i don't need to see your hoo ha and whatever your guy's sex life consists of" i whisper enough for him to hear.
vinnie's face turns a beat red, making me burst into laughter. "what's so funny y/n?" my mom asks sweetly, making the both of our families look at me. lemme mess with vinnie...
i look at vinnie dead in his eyes, him shaking his head slightly scared i'm gonna rat him out. "oh nothing. i just saw this funny tiktok"
"you kids and tiktok" vinnie's mom chuckles. "yupp... tiktok."
time skip, time skip
"y/n can i talk to you for a second?" vinnie asks me. i look over to see samantha rolling her eyes. "uhm... yeah sure..." i reply, getting off the couch. we make our way to my room.
"yes?" "uhm do you not like samantha?" he randomly says. i shoot my head up quickly. "what? of course i do. she's your girlfriend and you too love each other. that's all that matters to me" i say lying.
"you're not the best liar. you can't lie to your bestfriend y/n. i know you don't like her and i know she doesn't like you. i accidentally overheard your conversation earlier in the kitchen" he confesses. he heard? why didn't i hear the patio door open...
"oh. uhm-" i run out of words. "it's fine. she cheated a while back, i just didn't want to say anything. i thought maybe she could change. now i have a reasonable reason to break up with her" he says bluntly, making me look at him confused.
"SHE CHEATED? and uu didn't tell me anything? i'll gladly beat her ass. GIVE ME A REASON!!" i get myself hyped up. "y/n Y/N, it's fine. it's not a big deal. i'm over it, i just needed a good reason to end things. she's literally texting this other boy right now." damn...
"i'm sorry vinnie. you deserve much better" i calmly say, feeling bad for my bestfriend. "hey as long as i have my bestfriend , that's all i need and deserve" he responds as we hug.
