y/n's pov
"please welcome princess y/n and prince vinnie for their first dance." my dad announces to the guests. vinnie gestures for me to grab his hand and i take it, bowing.
he gently places his hand on my waist as i place mine on his shoulder and the other ontop of his arm. "you look beautiful." he whispers. "thank you."
3rd person view
as the newly wedded couple dances, everybody admiring them, they're genuinely in love. their bodies moving to the music in sync, nothing but love in the air.
"good choice brandon." y/n's mom nudges her husband, y/n's dad.
"anything for my daughter." he smiles at how happy she is.
soon, everybody joins in to dance with the princess and prince.
one hour later
"congrats y/n." michael bows to the married girl. "thank you micheal." she smiles sweetly. "don't break her heart." he points a finger at vinnie. "i won't." he chuckles.
the little children of the village look at y/n and vinnie smiling, talking together. they all hope to be just like her in the future. "princess y/n!" a little girl jumps up at y/n's feet.
"yes?" she gives her infamous smile and places the girl on her lap, vinnie enjoying the sight at how many little children love her. "i'm maddy." she bows her head.
"you don't have to bow. i'm y/n." she laughs. "do you think i'll ever be a princess?"
"you already are." y/n takes off her diamond crown and carefully places it on maddy's head.
"REALLY?" maddy full of pure bliss.
"you can wear it for 30 minutes. i'm trusting you with this. don't tell anybody." y/n places her finger on her lips.
"i won't." maddy jumps off her lap to show her mom.
as the little girl runs to show her mom, she accidentally trips on her dress and the crown falls off her head, shattering. the glass and diamonds breaking into pieces, being heard all around the castle.
y/n stops her conversation with vinnie and looks over at the commotion.
"this little child."
"GET HER OUT!"
"y/n's crown."
sayings are heard.
"babe.." vinnie grabs y/n's hand.
"hold on." she shakes off his hand and walks over to the broken pieces of glass and diamond.
y/n's pov
"i'm so sorry pri-" maddy cries. i carefully bend down, not wanting to accidentally cut myself. "hey, maddy, it's okay. i can always get another one." i hug the tiny girl. "NO YOU CAN'T. THAT CROWN HAS BEEN PASSED DOWN FOR MANY YEARS!" i hear my dad yell.
i pat down my dress and get up, "dad, with all due respect, i'm taking over right? so let's change things up a bit. trust me." i ask. "you're right.." he says lowly and backs away. "here, move around, i don't want you getting hurt." i move maddy away from the shards.
"how did you handle that so well?" vinnie asks as i sit back down. "i was taught on how to properly handle things and not come off as rude. something i HAD to know as daughter of the king." i say making him nod.
"does royalty have a honeymoon?" he asks.
i look at him as his face starts to turn red. "you're disgusting." i laugh. "so is that a yes or no?..."
"like we haven't been- you know what. no, royalty doesn't do honeymoons." i say sarcastically. "ARE YOU SERIOUS?"
"i'm joking. there's somewhere i wanted to take you anyways." my face getting hot. "can't wait." he squeezes my hand.
