narration
y/n applies the last section of highlight on her face. "i guess i'm doing it" she speaks to the cameras, filming a tiktok and youtube video all at once.
she gets up and walks over to her closet, picking up her dress. the girl bites her lip anxiously, mix feelings taking over. she's happy, proud, accomplished, sad, it's a bittersweet feeling.
meanwhile, vinnie ties his tie and looks at his own reflection. 'today's the day. this can make or break everything' he thinks to himself. both y/n and vinnie have been dreading this moment.
"you look good but you don't look too excited" reggie leans against his brother's door frame. "i am excited just so many emotions in one."
"have you told y/n yet?" he questions his brother, vinnie shaking his head. "you have to vinnie." "i know but i don't know how she'll react, this is her dream" vinnie doubts himself but deep down he knows he has to tell her, no matter the outcome.

y/n puts her lavender gown on, the white dress mixing well together. vinnie puts on his white gown, the blue tux complimenting it. "you're doing it baby" both their parents say at the same time. she smiles and tightly holds her cap, beginning to walk with the other group of graduates.
her friends pull her into a hug, some crying already and some happy to get out of a hell hole. while y/n hugs her friend, vinnie catches her eye. he takes notice and makes his away to her. "go go talk to him" her friends push y/n to him.
"you look beautiful" he adorns his girlfriend. "you look handsome" she says with a cheeky smile. he pulls her into a hug, her arms wrapping around his torso, his chin resting on her head.
y/n's mind goes from the present to the future. she knows they're going to be in a completely different country and she can't imagine her life without him. 16 hours away from each other. she quickly blinks away the tears not wanting to ruin her makeup.
"CLASS OF 2021 PLEASE START LINING UP, THE CEREMONY IS ABOUT TO START" a teacher grabs the attention of the college seniors. they pull away from the hug, vinnie lightly tapping around her eyes.
"we'll talk about us later" he places a gentle kiss on her lips making sure her lipgloss doesn't smear.

throughout y/n's speech as valedictorian, she gets near the end of it. "we all had a tough year, covid and everything. some of us couldn't make it through but each and every one of us are proud of you for trying. now it's on to a new chapter, people separating away from each other. however, we'll be there with each other someway or another" the whole time she looks directly at vinnie.
moments start to flood her mind through her high school and college years :
"if i can't have you, nobody can" he snickers.

i hear a click under the table. looking next to me, i see vinnie with a gun. "put it down, this is so ghetto" i groan.

"y/n, he's just gonna hurt you. stop going back to him" kio holds me as i cry. "but i can't.."

"DO YOU SEE HOW HURT SHE IS? you two need to talk this through. you both rather hurt yourself than hurt each other but in the end you both ended up getting hurt" kio yells at vinnie.

"my water broke" i yell. "what water? just get a new one" he shrugs. "VINNIE MY WATER, IM GOING INTO LABOR!" "ohh."

"keep your eyes on that mirror, don't you dare take them off" he demands.

"GRADUATING CLASS OF 2021, PLEASE MOVE YOUR TASSELS. I NOW PRONOUNCE YOU THE OFFICIAL GRADUATING CLASS OF 2021! YOU DID IT." the crowd and young adults cheer as they throw their caps into the air, fireworks erupting at the same time.
vinnie grabs y/n giving her a passionate kiss, everything feeling right. however, it's all a facade. none of this is true, it's a dream. everything from the past 192 parts are all part of her imagination. just like that, her perfect dream & imagination are gone... it's the end.
