3rd person view
"lyla come back over here." vinnie yells at his 5 year old daughter who won't stay still.
"ly please listen to your dad." y/n stops the girl before she begins to run around.

"is this fine mom?" jaylen asks y/n. yes jaylen, the one y/n adopted as her own, the son who USE to be emily's.

"it's fine, just ask your dad to tie your tie. i don't know how to do it." she smiles at the boy.
"MAAA!!" lyla runs up to y/n.

she sighs and picks up the hyper child.
"baby, you need to be calm please. you'll see kayla and leha soon." she says making lyla calm down.

"can you do my hair please? dad doesn't know what he's doing." lyla sighs making y/n laugh. "yes, sit here."

as y/n does her child's hair, vinnie and jaylen are talking about vinnie's plan tonight.

"does she know?"
"no she doesn't. everybody else knows but her." vinnie responds while tying his son's tie.
"i'm excited." jaylen smiles at the thought.

y/n's pov
"done." i pat lyla to get off my lap.
"LOOK AT MY CURLSSS" she sways her head back and forth.
"uh huh, now go put on your shoes, we're gonna be late and DON'T RUIN YOUR DRESS!" i yell at my daughter.

"i'll help her." jaylen steps in.
"thank you."

vinnie comes behind me and kisses my forehead. "lyla is something, she's just like you." he whispers.
"please- she's literally a girl version of you." i object.

i feel him kiss my neck, lightly sucking.
"aht aht, we're gonna be late. quit it." i push his head back and grab the presents.

"ready?" i look at the kids standing at the door. they nod their heads and we make our way to the house.

"hey hackers... HEY LYLAA, kayla is in her room." liya moves aside and lyla runs to the room.
"hey jay, braedon is in the kitchen." jordan tells him.

"i'm stealing your girl hacker." liya laughs and pulls me into the living room, all the other girls talking among each other.

i look over at maddy and see a bump.
"is she..?" i whisper at liya.
"yes she is. it's twins." she whispers back making me gasp.

"FOOD IS READY!! children at the green table, adults at the red table." jordan yells from the kitchen. we all get up and gather in the kitchen.

"just wanted to say, thank you all for coming. after ten years, we're all still friends. all our kids are friends. i'm glad we aged together. i love you all!" troy toasts to the table.

everybody smiles and one by one, everybody says their own speech.

3rd person view
as the family of friends eat, vinnie is scared to death. he knows but doesn't know how y/n is gonna react. he keeps glancing at his girlfriend as his leg bounces up and down.

"you okay babe?" y/n asks concerned.
"yeah, just need some fresh air." he gets up and signals jordan to come with.

"i don't think i can do it." vinnie says once they get outside.
"stop being a bitch and do it! do it once we take a break from gifts." jordan pats his shoulder and walks inside the house

"did he just-?" vinnie points. he just left me out here. he thinks. he rolls his eyes and walks into the house, still nervous.

the little kids open the gifts one by one.
"why do i have a picture of uncle vinnie?" kayla raises an eyebrow at her mom.

"because you used to be obsessed with him. you cried when you figured out y/n was his girlfriend." maddy laughs making everybody else laugh except for kayla.

"i was six. i'm eleven now." she side eyes maddy.
"yeah whatever. pick a gift for lyla."

she grabs a gift and hands it to y/n.
"i'm not lyla..?" she says confused.
"i know but open it." kayla smiles.

y/n hesitantly opens the gift, as she does that vinnie gets up and goes to the kitchen. she opens the box that has a little note at the bottom.

we all love you, you're our favorite aunt, bestfriend, and mother. however, there is somebody else who wants to show you how much he loves you. walk towards the kitchen door.
- love the huxhold family, powell family, zarbruh family, hull family, and hacker family.

y/n looks up and sees vinnie standing near the kitchen doorway. she looks at everybody else smiling and signaling for her to go.

she puts down the box and walks towards her boyfriend. he grabs her hands shakily making y/n raise her eyebrows.

"are you okay vin?"
"yeah yeah." he takes a deep breath and begins.

"y/n, you make everybody you run into happy and laugh. you brighten up any room you walk into. you took jaylen as your own when you didn't have to. you're constantly putting everybody above yourself. ever since we were eighteen, i knew you were the girl i wanted to marry. you're my other half and my lover. i couldn't ask for anybody better. with that, y/n y/l/n, will you make me the happiest man on earth and marry me." he kneels down and opens the ring.

she looks back and sees some woman crying while the guys smile ear to ear, the children giddy.
"ANSWER BITCH!" liya gets impatient.
"i'm sorry vinnie.." she says lowly making everybody freeze.

"i'm joking, yes yes i will!" she laughs making everyone groan.
"YOU'RE AN ASS FOR THAT!" liya yells.

vinnie slides on the ring, hugging his, now fiancé. they both pull back and stare into each other's eyes, smiling like crazy.

"YOU GUYS ARE UNDER THE MISTLETOE! KISS KISS!" jaylen says. the engaged couple looks up and sees the mistletoe dangling.

they laugh and lean in, their lips eventually touching.
"they're so cute."
"shit, after fifty damn years."
"liya, shut up."
"i'm just saying, i was about to tell her to text her other hoes."

y/n pulls away and turns around, shaking her head at liya.
"just saying." she shrugs.

"thank you vinnie." y/n hugs him tight.
"anything for you love."
their two kids run up to them making it a family group hug.

everybody else joins making a big group hug.
"MERRY CHRISTMAS!" they all yell.
