flashback :
why did y/n say no? it's because her ex, jaiden. they had a "perfect" relationship in the beginning. however, it wasn't so perfect in the end.
he made her feel like a princess and like she was on cloud nine 24/7. one day she figured out that jaiden wasn't really the age he said he was, he was four years older. 20 years old while she was 16.
she knew it was illegall and personally she just couldn't date somebody who lies. so, she tried to break it off. did it work? yeah, but with a cost.
she broke it off, he said okay and "understood". one day she came home from school and went to her dad's office to see him in a pool of his own blood.
she quickly rushed to him and he was dead, he was pale. she called 911 and they said that he was stabbed 30 times. that day, ruined her and she fell into a dark hole.
until, she met vinnie at school. they were both ditching and they saw eachother. they soon, became friends that caught feelings.
now here we are.

3rd person view
vinnie held his hand out for y/n to grab and get up. she took it. they walked for the next ten minutes in awkward silence. vinnie knew y/n was unsure, he doesn't blame her.
he didn't mean to react the way he did. as for y/n, she knew vinnie wasn't the same as jaiden. but she can't help but always think that it could happen again.
y/n's pov
vinnie opens the door and lets me enter first. i watch him lock the door and go to his room right away. i sigh to myself wondering why did i say no.
"SOOO ARE YOU A HACKER??" kio smiles. i shake my head and his smile drops. "jaiden..?" he asks. "yeah.." i say lowly. kio pulls me into his arms and rubs my back.
"it's okay y/n. vinnie wouldn't do that. trust me."
i pull away and smile weakly. "thanks kio. imma talk to him." i go upstairs. "GET IT FUTURE HACKER" he yells making me flip him off.
i take a deep breath before knocking on his door. "come in." i hear. i open the door and see vinnie laying on his bed, shirtless. "can we talk.." i ask him.
he nods and pats the bed next to him. i sit down and start talking. "vinnie, i didn't want to say no. i really like you, i'm just scared. i don't wanna be the reason somebody else gets hurt or dies." tears burning my eyes.
"y/n, do you think i'll ever hurt you? i don't have it in me. i can't promise our relationship would be perfect and rainbows, we will have ups and downs. but, i'd rather go through hell and back with you. we both met eachother at our lowest. now, i want to be with you when we're both happy. i'll wait till your ready." he rubs circles on my hands.
i nod my head and a smile appears on his face. "SO THATS A YES. YOU'LL BE MY GIRLFRIEND?"
"yes i will." i giggle as he wraps his arms around me, getting hard for me to breathe.
