y/n freezes as well as everybody else. nobody expected this and honestly, they weren't too happy about it.
y/n gulps and looks over at vinnie. they both look at each other feeling something different.
vinnie wants her to say no because he still loves her. the breakup was a mistake and he regrets it everyday. he hates the fact that he let go of the person that always made him happy. he hates that somebody else has her and makes them smile everyday. overall, he's upset that it's not him that's making her happy everyday.
y/n on the other hand, isn't happy, she's miserable. she hates brandon and always wanted to break up with him. however, he won't let her. i guess you could call it blackmail.
flashback
y/n's pov
"y/n, will you be my girlfriend?" i look over at brandon and raise an eyebrow.
"brandon, i don't like you like that and you know that."
"get over vinnie. you guys broke up like three months ago."
"yeah i know, but i literally DONT like you." i say in a duh tone.
"mmm, now y/n... you wouldn't like if vinnie figured out about your little secret, would you?" he gets close to me. i look into his eyes and they look dark.
"he wouldn't like it if he figured out that he'd have a year old daughter right now. mmm. say yes or else and don't you dare tell anybody about this." he squints his eyes at me.
i take a deep breath and nod my head, yes.
"good." he kisses my cheek and sits back down. i stare into the distance and guilt builds in me.
end of flashback
so there you go. the reasons they broke up are completely different from both sides. vinnie's was because it was too good to be true and he's never been this happy with somebody and that he "knew" something bad was gonna happen.
y/n's was because of blackmail. she got pregnant with his child but didn't say anything because she wasn't ready and didn't want to give him false hope. she aborted the baby and didn't mention it to anybody.
brandon only figured out because he saw the medicine from planned parenthood and did a little snooping around.
now we're here.
y/n's pov
i look down at brandon and he's giving me that look. "you wouldn't want vinnie to know, would you?" he mouths at me. i look back at vinnie and he's shaking his head with tears in his eyes.
"y-yes i will.." i sigh. he gets up and places the ring on my finger. he engulfs me in a hug, but i can't help but keep looking at vinnie. a tear falls from his eyes and everybody else looks disappointed.
"THIS IS MY FIANCÉ!!" he yells joyfully making the people around us clap.
"can you drop me off at the house? i'm tired." i ask him.
"babe, i thought you were gonna stay with me at my house." he pouts.
"she can ride with us, we all live together anyways." vinnie steps in.
"don't you dare." brandon whispers lowly in my ear. "please brandon. i'm really tired and i just wanna sleep in MY bed." i plead.
