3rd person view 5 years ago, on the last day of the trip, vinnie asked y/n to be her girlfriend and she said yes. the next year, vinnie gave her a promise ring. the 3rd year, the whole group got matching tattoos. then, the 4th year, vinnie and y/n bought a beach house in hawaii.
ever since july 31,2020 when the boy and girl confessed their feelings for each other in hawaii, for the past 5 years they always go to hawaii on the same day, along with the group. however, this time it was different. everybody knew why, except for y/n.
y/n's pov i sat next to vinnie on the plane, just like i've been doing. ever since this morning, everybody has been acting weird, especially vinnie. he's been kinda mean, like how he acted 5 years ago.
i shrugged it off and closed my eyes to sleep, just like i always do.
vinnie's pov "are you ready?" jordan asks behind me. i smile at the thought and nod my head. "why is this reminding me of five years ago when i asked if you're ready to confess your feelings to y/n?" jordan snickers.
i shrug my shoulders and laugh. i look over at y/n sleeping and smile at how for the past five years, she always sleeps for the flight, in the same exact position.
time skip to when they arrive
y/n's pov i enter the air bnb we always stay at and make my way to the room. i unpack both vinnie's and i clothes and turn around to see vinnie roll all over the bed, as always. i sigh and shake my head at him.
"vinnie, how many times do i have to tell you to stop doing that?!"
"oh shut up, you end up sleeping on me anyways." he teases. i roll my eyes and get into the shower to freshen up. "don't forget lunch!!" he reminds.
25 minutes later
i walk out the room and let my natural hair flow down and make my way downstairs to meet the rest of the group. "ready?" mady asks. we all nod our head and go to our regular lunch spot.

as we're eating vinnie is staring at me, i thought we stopped that five years ago. why is he starting this AGAIN?! do i have something on my face? i question.
"what?" i ask confused. "nothing..." he says going back to eat. i shake it off and keep eating. a few minutes later, i see vinnie staring at the waitress. he ends up looking at her butt and i drop my fork, loosing my appetite.
i go on my phone and just wait for everybody to finish eating. "you good y/n?" liya asks me. "mhm" i smile.
1 hour later
i look around and see everybody enjoying their time. we decided to go to the beach and just past time till dinner. as i'm in the water with mady and liya, i look in the distance to see some girl touching all up on vinnie.
