Break was almost over, I can't believe it's only been three weeks. I laid up in bed wishing it would never end.
"Looks like you can't sleep either." Nash climbed through the window. "Nope." I said rolling over. He laid next to me, "You're leaving again, in three days." Nash said. "Are you going to be okay?" I asked him. "I'll be fine, just like the other two times that you left." he said holding me a little tighter. "Alright, I might be a little worse." he said. I just smiled. "You'll be fine." I said. "What if I'm not?" he asked. "You, Nash Duke Bond, will be golden." I kissed him. "I hate when you use my full name, makes me feel like I'm in toruble." he rolled on top of me. "What if you are?" I grabbed the collar of his t-shirt. "Then, I could show you how bad I could really be!" he said kissing my neck.
"Maverick, tenemos un problema!" I heard Fonz shout. Nash looked at me with a disappointing look. I raced down the stairs and opened the door. Fonz and Jaz were supporting my favorite red head. "Holy shit!" I said pickling up Hayley's head looking at her face. "She just kept drinking." Jaz said as the two boys laid her on the couch. "Poor, chica." Fonz said pulling the hair off of her face. "She passed out on the way in, after she said that you were the only one she would talk to." Jaz sat beside her on the floor. Nash walked leisurely down the stairs. "I'll grab the ice." he said. "She'll need dry clothes and blankets." I told them. Jaz was reluctant but he went and got the things I asked for, I had Fonz get the rest.
Nash retuned with a cold bucket of ice water and helped me put her in a chair, before we dowsed her in the water. She screamed, dripping wet covered in water and ice. Jaz came back, and wrapped her in warm towels. "Thanks." she said going to change into some dry clothes.
"She'll be fine. Let's go." Fonz said to Jaz, who eventually left but not without protest. Nash left to, said it should just be us girls tonight. Hayley came back, still drying her hair. "We need to talk." I told her. "I really didn't think I would go that far." she told me. "Well, you did. Now, you've got Jasper losing his mind, and I hade to pour ice water on you." I folded my arms. She looked so sad, "I'm terrible!" She shoved her face into the blankets on the couch. "You're not terrible. You just have a problem with alcohol." I said patting her soulder. We sat on the couch, as she told me what happened, how her father revised the child proofing of caps on medications and alcoholic beverages, and how her mother became an alcoholic. She looked so sad. She believed that she would end up like her mother. "You have to follow you're own path, and leave the negative on the side if the road." I told her. "When did start being a fortune cookie?" she laughed. I think I really got through to Hayley tonight. We ended up spending the rest of the night talking and eventually falling asleep.

I woke up this morning with a stream of text messages from Jaz this morning trying to find out if she was okay. I called him, and he sound like he hadn't slept at all. "How is she?" He said. "She's fine. She will be a lot better if you would calm down." I told him. He took a couple deep breaths and said that he would try to get some sleep.
"Well, if it isn't Sleeping Beauty and Rapunzul." Nash walked in. "Her name was Aroura." I stretched. He just smiled. I didn't realize until I stood up that he was wearing a dress shirt and some slacks. "Calm down. It's something my mom is making us go to, wear the nicest thing you have." he told me. "Should I call Jaz?" Nash motioned toward Hayley sleeping body. "No, I called him. He's been up all night, let him sleep." I said. "The nicest thing I have is a pair of blue jean shorts." I told him. "Well, that will have to do." he said.
I returned dressed in blue jean shorts and a black tank top, with my cowboy boots and hat. Nash and I, left sleeping Hayley in the guest house and I had to leave a note, just I case she woke up.
"So, who's all going to this thing with your mom?" I asked. "Well, you, me, mom, Brax and some other people." he said slowly. I stopped in my path, "I'm about to go out with your family and total strangers." I said. Nash just looked at me sadly. Nash took my had, "Everything is going to be okay." he said. We met his mom and Braxton in front of the main house. "Mav!" Braxton was happy to see me. Nash's mother wasn't. "I said nice." she scolded him. "It's the nicest thing she has." he defended. "Is this not good enough?" I asked her. She just looked at me, "No, it's not. I'm not sure how you do it in the backwoods, but out in the real world you don't belong." I didn't feel like she had hurt me only pointed out the truth and told a lie. Regardless, she knew that I wouldn't go Nash wouldn't so she put up with me.
