As they entered the Great Hall, Tormund's eyes landed on Brienne of Tarth. Ella knew of his infatuation with the lady, but she was not jealous. She found it humorous how shy he got around her. He was mesmerized by her fighting skills and stature, more than anything.

"Hello Ser Davos, Tyrion," Ella greeted her old friends as she took a seat in front of the fireplace.

"Good evening, Miss Ella," Davos said. Tyrion grinned, sloshing his wine onto the floor.

Ella noticed Ser Jaime and Brienne's squire, Podrick, also with them. Ella's eyes flickered to Tormund as he spoke to Brienne.

"This could be our last night in this world, you know?" Tormund said to the tall woman.

"Yes, and I'm glad you're here. I think it's safe to say we're all glad you survived Eastwatch. We need you here fighting with us," Brienne said flatly.

"Would either of you like a drink?" Tyrion offered a pitcher of wine to Tormund and Ella.

"No, thank you," Ella smiled.

"I've got my own," Tormund grunted, raising his horn in the air.

Tormund stood tall as Jaime glanced at Ella for the briefest moment. "They call you King Killer," Tormund said to Jaime Lannister, breaking the silence.

"I'm sure someone does," Jaime said.

"They call me Giantsbane. Want to know why?" Tormund asked, stepping in front of the wolf girl.

He scrambled to find a seat, dragging it loudly against the stone floor. He situated himself into the chair and glared at Jaime.

"I killed a giant when I was ten," Tormund articulated. "Then I climbed right into bed with his wife. When she woke up, you know what she did?"

Jaime shook his head no. "She suckled me at her teet for three months. Thought I was her baby. That's how I got so strong. Giant's milk."

Tormund raised the horn to his mouth, gulping every sip down his throat as loudly as possible. Everyone kept their eyes on him as drink spilled from the horn and down his chest. Ella scrunched up her face, not liking how idiotic he was in that moment. Ella could tell Tormund wanted to show off in front of Jaime Lannister, but was failing to impress anyone.

"Maybe I will have that drink," Davos shook his head, unsure of how to react. Everyone around the fire remained still, unsure of what to do as well.

As the hours ticked by slowly, the small group remained by the fireplace. Ella fell asleep on Tormund's shoulder, and he let the girl sleep, knowing she needed her strength.

Ella woke up after a time. She straightened up in her chair as the group listened to the sound of the crackling fire. The silence was only broken by Tyrion Lannister.

"It's strange, isn't it?" He asked, causing all eyes to land on him. "Almost everyone here's fought the Starks at one time or another. And here we are, in there castle, ready to defend it. Together."
