sankarshaNa tIrtharu popularized the writings and preachings of shrimadAchaArya. He stayed in North India and helped the kings. He made Srinagar as the base of his activites in order to restrain the influence of Yavanas in Kashmir.

He stayed in Srinagar for more than 20 years preaching the teachings of shrimadAnanda tIrtharu. In that period, he invited many scholars from all over India and conducted many discussions, seminars on various religious matters.

He selected one of the scholars and made him his heir in 1354. He named the scholar as Sri Parashurama tIrtha and entered the Brindavan in the same year at Srinagar.
