Yuri's POV

"Oh? Why are you home so early? Aren't you supposed to attend a concert with Haruto?"

My mother asked me as soon as I entered the house. I felt her gently hold my hands then he raised my face.

"Did you cry?! What happened?!" She held my face with both of her hands. My tears started to fall again which made my mom panic.

I felt weak so I sat on the couch. My mom wrapped her arms around me and began to draw circles on my back.

I just wanted to be happy with someone again.

"Mom I... I'm sorry." She pulled out of the hug and wiped my tears with her thumbs. She then asked me why I'm asking for forgiveness .

"I... had a boyfriend... I know that you didn't want me to have one after what happened with Hyunjin but I..."

"I'm sorry too, Yuri..." My eyebrows furrowed as I pulled out of the hug. My mother looked nervous which also made my heart beat faster.

"We're actually planning to marry you off to Haruto." My eyes widened at her statement.

Marry... Haruto?

I pushed her away from me then I walked backwards.

"Mom he's a trainee!" She tried to approach me but I continued to stay away from her.

"The public won't know! Only our family and hi-"

"I don't want to!"

"We need to secure a good partnership with their company! That will bring us a lot of mo-"

"MONEY?! WHAT AM I TO YOU?! YOUR MONEY MAKER?!"

I felt a sharp pain on my cheeks and next thing I knew, tears are already streaming down my face.

"I GAVE YOU ALL OF THE THINGS YOU NEED! YOU NEVER STARVED! YOU ALWAYS GOT THE THINGS YOU LIKE!"

She grabbed my arms and began to pull me towards the place that I loathed the most.

The empty pantry.

She pushed me inside and immediately locked the room. I didn't even tried to beg for her to let me out knowing that she will never do that.

Not until she gets what she want.

My phone suddenly rang and when I looked at who's calling, I hesitated to answer it.

It's Yedam.

I bit my lower lip as I slowly slid the answer button.

"Yuri! Please let's talk!" I felt a pang on my chest as soon as I heard his voice. I didn't even noticed that I'm smiling despite the pain I'm feeling all because of his voice.

Come to think of it... his voice is so sweet.

Just like how an idol's voice sounds like.

"Yedam... we can't be together anymore."

"Yuri if this is about me being a trainee, I can promise that we can hide us!"

That's right... we can hide but... we'll eventually be discovered.

He'll also be happier once he debut. Just like Hyunjin.

"It's not because of that, Yedam. I... I'm engaged to someone." I tried my best not to sound like I'm trying to stop myself from crying.

The line went silent for a while but he eventually asked me what nonsense I'm talking about.

"I told you I'm... engaged to someone."

"Who it is?!" Yedam shouted. My tears were uncontrollable and my throat is hurting me so much but I still managed to sound normal.

"You don't have to know. Just... stop trying to get back with me." I ended the call and turned off my phone so he wouldn't be able to call me.

I slowly laid down on the cold floor, trying to make myself sleep. Not long after, I felt my eyelids getting heavier and everything went black.

Haruto's POV

"Haruto! Are you here to visit Yuri?" I nodded at Yuri's mom. I wanted to make sure she's alright.

She made me sit down at their couch and walked somewhere. After a few minutes, she's now walking towards me with Yuri behind her.

But what's wrong with her? She's still wearing the same clothes as yesterday and... is that a bruise on her cheeks?

"She wasn't feeling well yesterday and fell down the stairs!" Yuri's mom told me as she made her sit down beside me.

"Now if you'll excuse me, I need to go to work." I bowed at her mom and when she left, I looked at Yuri's face.

"Did you know about the marriage?" She asked me while looking straight into my eyes.

So her mom already told her about it.

Her eyes looked so empty. As if she's trying to hide everything.

"I'm trying to find a way to stop it so you don't have to worry and just make up with Yedam hy-"

"Help me with Yedam." My eyebrows furrowed at what she said.

"I'm willing to help you fix your relationship with hi-"

"No, help me in making him forget about his feelings for me."

"But why?" She looked down and I began to see teardrops on her lap. She immediately wiped it and looked back at me.

"Because I know that every trainee wants to debut. I want to see him smile because he finally reached his dream."

She took my hands and gripped it tightly. I was just about to say no but her eyes began to show sadness.

"Please, Haruto."
