A day ago you saw Remus place a piece of parchment into the fire, watching as each corner and edge was singed. He shed a single tear, then leaving you alone in the Black Estate. He left with a purple-haired woman who called him love. Andy's daughter. You couldn't help but think of Remus moving on so quickly but then once you looked into the eyes of the woman you saw what you'd been looking for, Grey eyes with a gleam of adventure and destination.

You had to look away from her, you couldn't look into those eyes.

Severus hadn't come to see you since Sirius died, he assumed it was best to leave you alone with family and friends, but did he not understand that he was the only family and friend you had left? You guessed not and you really couldn't blame him, who would want to be with your sulking self twenty-four hours a day? You know you didn't want to be with yourself, you didn't even want to be yourself.

Being consumed by your thoughts and in your head so much you saw the scene repeat thousands of times. You could have stopped it, you could have risked your life for your brothers. But you didn't, you froze.

In your curled up state on the couch, Sirius' smell infected your senses, this was the place he'd always sat, even when you were kids. You hadn't moved from that spot since, wrapped up in his leather jacket.

Kreature brought you your food and water and other things you requested. But today you wanted that to change. You stared at your feet that hung off the couch and got up, wiping your face and mustering up the courage to go to Sirius' childhood bedroom.

Remus had picked through most things in here, taking most of it with him and you didn't mind, you knew it would all be better off with Remus rather than collecting dust here. You looked at the posters of topless muggle women on the walls and couldn't help but giggle, placing your head against the wall.

"Well... that sure did age well..." you ran your hand along the poster, "My clueless brother..."

"Gone for three weeks and you like women now?" A deep voice quipped from the door frame. You turned around and looked into the dark, stern eyes of your lover. You'd been gone so long without him that you didn't want to talk. In all the shit you'd been through with Severus you realized that the way he let you deal with things was on your own. You assumed he did the same with himself.

You took your hand off the poster, "At least a woman would come and hold me when I lost my brother. Did you know I've been internalizing every little thing since Remus left yesterday? I don't sleep, I stay up and listen to the house settle, longing for the slightest touch... you- you didn't even write... ask me how I was... I- I thought you loved me."

Severus still leaned on the door frame, his brows furrowed. "I do." That was all he said, you clenched your jaw and felt anger build within you. You could feel inside your heart your animagus pushing forward so you just let it happen, knowing it would come forth when you felt strongly about something.

You stood there for a moment, stock-still, and not a thing happened. You looked to your heart, feeling a sudden strong burn that ripped through your body. You let out a whimper and felt like your heart exploded. The pain was too much, you fell unconscious to the ground.
