JEAN DRAGGED HIMARI BACK AFTER she'd finished yelling at Rod Reiss. She was panting, whether from the hot steam that was making it hard to breathe or because of the pure exhaustion the last few days had brought her, she wasn't sure. But, either way, all she could do was watch in despair as Rod grew bigger and bigger. He had to have been bigger than the Colossal at this point, and was taking up every inch of space in the cavern, blocking their way out.

She glanced over, looking at Eren, who was staring wide-eyed at Rod's growing titan. He wasn't blinking, just staring with hot tears embedding themselves into tracks on his cheeks, his jaw agape. Himari wasn't sure what he was thinking. He gritted his teeth as the tears continued to pour down his cheeks and he sunk to the ground, his back sliding against the smooth crystal behind him. Himari pressed her lips together, not doing anything as he apologised. He kept his head down, unable to look as six pairs of eyes stared down in his direction, a range of different emotions displayed on their faces.

"I've been nothing but useless. Ever since the very beginning, I was never the hope of humanity..." Himari took a step back, the heel of her shoe coming into a small, purple bottle that had been discarded and lay on the floor. She raised an eyebrow and crouched down, picking it up in her hand. She turned it over, noticing that the label on the bottle was in another language - one that she definitely shouldn't have been able to read, but she could.

"Armour?" She whispered. Eren turned his head to look at her, tears flowing freely down his face. She looked up at him and gritted her teeth, clenching the bottle in her hand.

"Whether or not you believe that... we never gave up on you. Not even when it felt like our plan to plug up the hole in Shiganshina had gone south. You call yourself useless... but you overlook everything you've accomplished. Think about just how far we've come in terms of knowledge about the titans since we joined the Scouts. If you hadn't plugged up that hole in Trost, Wall Rose would have been abandoned, too," Himari said. She clenched her fist, the one that wasn't holding the bottle before she reached out and grabbed Eren's hand, unfurling his palm.

"So stop your crying. If you feel that guilty, then stop apologising and start helping us, start proving to us that no matter how hard humanity pushes you, no matter how hard it beats you down, stomps on you and spits on you, you can still stand and say that at least you fought. You have the power to help us... so use it. It's not Historia's power, it's not Frieda's power and it's not Grisha's, it's yours. So show us that you're still the same Eren Jaeger who wanted to exterminate every single one of the titans three years ago. Show us that you're still the Eren Jaeger who never gave up, even when his ODM gear was faulty and everyone was telling him that he didn't have what it took to be a soldier."

Himari slapped the bottle down in Eren's palm and closed his fingers around it forcefully, glaring at the teal-eyed boy, whose eyes looked almost yellow in the light of Rod's growing titan.
