"Phil, you do know that report is due in a few hours, right, " I asked the brunette guy beside me, "And you do know it's like 50 percent of our grade?"

Phil smiled awkwardly as he looked away from my direction.

"I might have forgotten, " Phil mumbled under his breath.

"What, " I yelled in disbelief, "Please tell me you're joking?"

Phil nervously laughed. He wasn't joking.

"Phil, how are we gonna put 5 months of research into a project that's due tonight," I snapped at him, "We're in college now. We can't just slack off."

"You're right," Phil sighed, "But I know a guy who just might be able to do it for us."

"I'm listening," I acknowledged him.

"We went to school together, " Phil continued, "We were pretty good friends. I just haven't spoken to him in a while, but I'm more than sure that if I call him up, he'll most definitely help us out."

"Fine, " I groaned, "Call him up."

Phil took out his phone instantly and began to dial the number.

"Hey, Seth. What's up, " Phil talked on the phone, "How you been? That's great. Hey, can I ask you a quick favor?"

Phil walked away as he continued to speak on the phone with his friend, Seth.
------------------------------------------------------
"He should be here any moment, Y/n, " Phil insisted, "Relax."

"How can I relax when this project is worth half of our whole grade, " I snapped at him, "What if he doesn't show up? Oh God, I'm going to fail...I don't want to fail, Phil. I don't."

I began hyperventilating thinking of the possibility that I would have to redo everything just because Phil wanted to slack off.

"Calm down, breathe, " Phil comforted me, "Where's your inhaler?"

I pointed to my backpack. Phil rushed over to my backpack and searched until he found what he was looking for, tossing it to me afterward. I took two puffs of the inhaler and took some deep breaths as I tried to take my mind off of everything.

"Are you alright now, " Phil asked as we heard a knock on the door.

I nodded my head at him. He gave me a thumbs-up as he opened the door. I almost started to hyperventilate again. Inside my dorm walked living perfection in a bow tie. Chocolate eyes, pale face, long curly blonde hair. I was in love. Hypothetically speaking that is.

"What's up, Seth, " Phil greeted him, "I see you still got that bow tie look going on dude. What's up with that?"

"It's my style, " Seth smiled, "We've been through this before."

"We have been through this before, " Phil agreed, "That's why I'm confused on why you're still wearing it."

The both of them laughed hysterically. Seth's laugh was so adorable.

"Oh, " Phil stopped to point at me, "This is Y/n. My science partner and right-hand woman on campus. And Y/n, this is Seth. My favorite nerd."

Seth's gaze was brought to me. I could feel my body melting as he observed me. I shyly waved at him.

"Hello, Y/n, " Seth smirked, "I'm guessing this is your dorm room."

I nodded my head at him as Phil came by me and wrapped his arm around my shoulder.

"Did I mention she was single," Phil pointed at me.

I moved his arm from around me and punched his shoulder. Phil could be such an instigator.

"Ouch. That's how you know it's true," Phil laughed.

I flipped him off and looked away from both boys.

"Why don't you sit on the bed next to Y/n, Seth, " Phil kept going.

I sent a death glare in Phil's direction. Seth, on the other hand, was pretty oblivious to Phil's intentions.

"Sure, " Seth said as he sat on the bed next to me.

"Make yourself real comfortable, " Phil smirked.

"So, Y/n, " Seth spoke to me, "What's your major?"

"Psychology, " I said softly trying not to freak out over the fact that this handsome man was sitting next to me.

"Oh, nice. The study of the human mind, " Seth glowed, "So you're a modern-day superhero. You know how to control the human mind, but with words. That's sweet."

"Well, when you say it like that, " I smiled at Seth, "It is pretty cool."

"Have you ever made or convinced someone to do something that you wanted them to do, " Seth questioned.

"No, if I would have done that Phil would've done his work, " I chuckled.

A wide grin appeared on Seth's face. He was so cute.

"I know the feeling, " Seth laughed.

"Just talk about me like I'm not right here then, " Phil interrupted, "It's fine."

"We will, " Seth and I both said at the same time, laughing after the realization.

"Jinx, " we both said, "Double Jinx."

"Triple Jinx, " I beat him to it, "You owe me a soda."

"How about I do you one better and buy you dinner," Seth said nervously, "What do you say?"

"Like on a date," I asked.

Seth nodded his head.

"Yes, I would love that," I responded to him.

The adorable grin came back as Seth processed my answer.

"Great," he smiled at me, "How about tonight?"

My smile faded.

"Our project is due tonight," I sighed.

"And it's already finished," Phil interrupted, "I finished my part 3 months ago."

My jaw dropped upon hearing him say that.

"What, " I gasped, "But you said it wasn't finished that's why you invited Seth."

"I just needed a storyline so I could set you two up to meet, " Phil chuckled.

"So you didn't need me to do you a favor, " Seth chuckled.

"No, I still need a favor, " Phil said, "I need you to take Y/n on that date and show her the best time of her life."

"You didn't even have to ask me, " Seth said as he grabbed my hand and led me off of the bed, "Come on, Y/n. I know the perfect spot for us to go."

"Wait I need to get something before I go, " I said to him.

He let go of my hand as I grabbed my inhaler off of the bed. Seth laughed as he watched me put it in my backpack.

"What's so funny, " I asked him.

"Nothing, " he smiled, "You just seem too good to be true."

Seth pulled out his inhaler from his back pocket.

"My work here is done," Phil said as he plopped onto my bed, "And bring back some ice cream. I don't do charity for free."
