"Hey, I'm pulling up," my date said through the phone.
"Alright, see you soon," I exhaled.
The call dropped from his end. I took a deep breath...I was terrified. This was the first blind date I had ever been on, so I was nervous about how it would go. Would it go well? Could he be the man of my dreams? Would I be the next missing girl on Dateline? I was going to have to find out one way or another. I was given his number though- just no name or face. Our friend who set it up did say we were compatible, so I had a lot of hope.
I stood outside of my for a few minutes waiting for him to arrive when a car pulled up next to me on the sidewalk. I watched as the driver got out and walked towards me. Tall, dark, and handsome wasn't even a good comparison. He was heart-stopping. Although he looked way too familiar, I could have sworn I had seen him before. He greeted me with a smile that almost made me faint as his dimples stole my soul. My face grew hot- I knew he could tell I was blushing.
"Wow, it's nice to meet you," he greeted, "I'm Evan."
"It's nice to meet you too, Evan," I responded, "I'm-"
"Beautiful," Evan interrupted.
"Y/n," I giggled, "but thank you. You're not too bad yourself."
"I'm sorry," he apologized, "It's just you were more than I expected."
I arched an eyebrow. What did he mean by that?
"Wait- don't take that the wrong way," he explained, "I just never thought I'd ever have the opportunity to even be near someone as beautiful as you! That means a lot from a guy who works in Hollywood."
Hollywood? My eyes widened as I realized who he was.
"You're Evan Peters. I remember you from the Phil of the Future," I said, "I thought you were so cute."
"Hopefully, you still do," he smiled, "Here, let me open this for you."
Evan opened the door for me like a gentleman, and I'm not trying to assume, but something about his eagerness told me that this was his first blind date too. He hopped into the car and smiled.
"If you get too hot or cold in here, just let me know," he stammered, "You can change the radio if you want- I have water in that back if you get thirsty on the way."
I burst into laughter at him. His nervousness was more than adorable. It explained why he played those lovable characters so well- he was one in real life.
"You sound like an Uber driver right now," I giggled, "You're nervous, aren't you?"
"Is it that easy to tell," he asked.
I nodded, "Yeah, but it's cute, so I don't mind. It shows you're truly trying. I think I fell for you already."
A huge grin appeared on his face.
"Does that mean the date is over because my house isn't too far from here," Evan rambled, "I'm not saying we can chill, but I do have Netflix and Uber Eats- also, I get anxious in movie theatres. I prefer not to go to them."
"Hell yeah, we can go to your place," I exhaled, "I get anxious around crowded places as a whole."
"We should've been set up on a blind date years ago!"
